How to invite PS4 players?

Since this game is crossplatform, I like to play against some friends who have it on PS4. How do I invite them for a online match?

You can't invite people cross plattform / queue up with them. It's not possible, it's in their FAQ on reddit. Incredibly poorly communicated. The only thing the cross-plattform is good for is playerbase - they say they eventually want to support private matches through cross plattform, but matchmaking will not be a thing.

This feature will be available shortly after release. As Sony restricts having friends between PSN and Steam, Psyonix is looking for a different way to implent this.

i watched an interview with the one of the developers. they said RL will be able to play PC and PS4 in the same match, so It will come. just wait.

How to play with Steam friends against REAL RANDOM people??? I create room, click "no bots', set "3vs3" and only we both start game...

It shouldnt be difficult too implament an in-game friends system, ive played plety of games that have one.

I only really want the game cus personal friends play it on ps4, so unfortunatley i wont be buying this until it is implamented.

You'll need to create a private match and set a name and password(optional) to it, then you can play with eachother cross platform. Don't think this will allow you to group up as a party though to play with randoms it would just be you and those you gave the room name/pw to.

So 3 PC players can invite a PS4 player to make a 2V2 private match? Are you sure about that because I don't want to buy it for nothing (I don't want a refund because that's only Steam Wallet money) ?

Yeah i try it with my friends we play 2 vs 2 ps4 vs pc you need 2 gamepads on pc to play 2
you can`t play 1 pc and 1 gamepad thats what i know.

Yes private crossplay matches are possible since the latest patch. You can only play against friend or bots though.

Just make a private match, set it to name and password and give your PC / PS4 friends the name and password, Psyonix is working on a better party system though.
