21:9 and Multi-Monitor Support / Custom Resolution

Both 21:9 aspect ratio monitors and multi-monitor resolutions will work, the game should auto detect your desktop resolution and start at that, if it doesn't use the info below to manually override it.

Note on multi-monitors, the main menu background does render vertical minus, but ingame is horizontaol plus, also the UI is scaled correctly but spans all 3 screens.

In the event that your resolution is NOT listed in the drop down:
1) Set the resolution to something common, 1920x1080 for example.
2) Open an explorer window and navigate to "Documents\My Games\Rocket League\TAGame\Config"
3) Open TASystemSettings.ini
4) Search for 1920.
5) For every instance of 1920, and 1080 you find, replace with your desired resolution

Played a lot of Season mode on launch day while the servers were down.

I had a DnD game on launch day so I only go so far as to check multi-monitor resolutions worked, then to hack in support for my steering wheel, because it's fun. ^_^ Was streaming the result on wensday. I started streaming a 16:9 cropped resolution while I was getting used to the game and tweaking settings to get it feeling right to control with the wheel, then about 1 hour 25 minutes i swapped the stream to surround mode.

Sry to tell you this but it still won't work... 1920 / 1080 is set im running on 2 Desks and using one as the main one... Pls help guys

Your desktop has to be set to Surround or Eyefinity mode for it to work, otherwise your graphics drivers will refuse to fullscreen at that resolution. It'll work fine in windows mode without though.

Thanks for finding this. I just tested playing on 3 monitors at 5760x1200 and it works great! I had to turn the FOV down quite a bit for it to look right though. :)

fixed because my monitors resolution is 3440 x 1440 and i changed it to 1920 x 1080 just to see the graphical difference. however once i tried to turn it back to my native resolution, it didn't appear on the page!! your guide helped me fix this issue, but now it shows my resolution as 42 : 18, when it is normally 21 : 9 i know its halved, but will it make a difference. thanks

It shouldn't the aspect ratio is just width:heigh, if it's used for anything it'll be to calculate the FoV, so as long as the ratio is correct it won't make a difference.

My 21:9 works fine, but thanks for the write up. I would like to scale the UI down a bit, but REALLY love the extra wide field of view.

Note to all Windows 10/Windows 8.1 users:

I would like to point out that, using NVIDIA Surround, I would get a reproducible BSOD upon starting the game, and it corrupted my save file, as well as uploaded the corrupted save to the Steam Cloud. I reproduced this twice.

NVIDIA users beware when using Surround to achieve this, as it has the potential to corrupt your save file upon starting the game (and crashing).

This was with a GTX 970.
