Custom Quick Chat?

I feel this would not be too difficult to add and I for one would LOVE if they added this.

Do you mean rebinding them, or being able to type our own words? You can rebind them, being able to type our own words would be bad(you know how people are), but being able to select from a list of prest words would be better, and I would rather have that.

Being able to write your own words is what I meant and why would that be bad? I guess I don't really know the demographics of the game but people can already type in the chat. But I liked the idea even if it was just you could pick from preset words to even a little bit customize it

I think that would just open the door for people to more easily spam profanities and other pointless garbage.

Custom quick chat is a good idea, yes people will abuse it but why the actions of the few block the many? there is now a report option anyways or at least attempting to implement.

I still think it's a good idea, but someone had suggested sometime ago that the community should be able to vote and suggest quick chat phrases that the players would be able to choose from and switch in and out

I don't think custom text would be suitable for the quick chat. That said, I would love to see some options to customise the current quick chat with colors or sounds. Many times i hear my teammate using a quickchat option, but then I still need to look up to the topleft corner to see if it is a "I got it!" or a "Take the shot!". Giving me a beep for "I got it" and a blip for "Take the shot" would save me some precious 0.1 seconds, maybe even color the text different so I'd notice without actually reading the text. Could be this is just a lack of speed/skill on my part though.. :P
