Seriously, Select your own regions

Seriously am i the only one tonight whos been matched up in EU servers against some laggy ass brazilians and australians. Surely they have there own servers so why should they be allowed to ruin the competive aspect of this game by using there massive lag to there advantage.

Seriously 4 games in a row my opponent has had almost 300 ping and its impossible.

I get that people want to play with there friends in other regions but surely there should be some way to stop solo players choosing regions with excessivly high ping in the ranked mode.

The game is automaticly searching in more regions when it takes to long to match them with people of their own.

Ehhh.. I'm pretty sure there's no Aussie Servers yet. And sometimes ppl get better games out of their own region (US East played way better for me one night even though I'm situated in Europe).

Are you sure the peeps were from outside Europe? I've have a pretty constant 24 ping (around 100 on US East, IIRC) but still experience lag from time to time.

And I'm sure there are other reasons causing high ping than distance (I've seen a EU player with a screenshot showing him having 988 ping).

Ok. Well you can still get decent ping even when playing outside your own region. I just did an Ookla test from Copenhagen, Denmark to Indianapolis and got 110 Ping which isn't half bad and easily playable in RL

oh yeah no my ping is fine aslong as i use EU or USA-E

but its really frustraiting when you hit the ball your enemy litterally drives through u without even making a hit and takes the ball with him. or even worse is when you hit the ball and the opp missed on your screen but the ball decides to yell HADOUKEN! and fly directly into the Ass end of your goal

Yep. Servers still need a decent overhaul. I just tested. Got between 80 and 108 on US East. That's okay.

Sorry no functioning Mic. A cat I was sitting for a friend decided to chew on the wire so now it's nothing but crackling sounds and totally useless. I usually play with mic's off anyways. Too much info being reported I don't feel I need (though that german kid in CS:GO had a decent singing voice :lol:).

Depends what time of day for me it is, 2am - 9am Aussie land our servers are empty, so rather wait 2 mins for it to start looking at US-West, during that time I just pick US-West.
I get pretty stable connections thru it. At about 160~ms ping.

You can have very low ping and still experiencing lag and/or rubberbanding. I played on US East yesterday with between 80-108 ping. I couldn't feel any difference between that and my normal 24 ping on European region.

Probably because this game requires some sort of lining up before hitting the ball. In a fps game a ping of 100 might mean miss or hit but I can't really see anybody with 100 in ping being in any real disadvantage here.

I read a post by one of the moderaters in here stating that anything below 300 should be fairly playable.

There are Australian servers. They come under Oceanic. I don't know why you'd wait for it to choose an overseas match when 5 ping is the most amazing thing you can ever have.

I cannot take your post seriously unless you learn the correct use of their, there and they're.

Also, yes there are servers for other zones. Sometimes empty.

Can anyone tell me why we can filter regions but not "max ping" instead like most games. I don't care about the region, ping is more interesting.
