CAN I USE THE SHIELD CONTROLLER WITH A PC?
Yes. The SHIELD controller is compatible as a wired controller with a Windows 7 or Windows 8 PC running GeForce Experience. Learn more here including the full system requirements and list of supported features.
here is the link, good luck: http://shield.nvidia.co.uk/pc-controller-faq/
Edit:
I got it working by unplugging my flight stick. Guess it was assuming that was my controller rather than the Shield Controller.
Based on the person above me, the game only looks at and accepts input from the controller the computer sees as Controller One. Perhaps a controller select menu would solve this issue without needing to unplug things. A minor issue, really, but it would be nifty.
