Ranks need a hard reset and harder to gain

I know quite some time back they forced a bell curve because apparently too little people weren't in the "Middle" of the ranks, if I remember correctly, and in doing so a lot of lower rank people got pushed up as well as adding new ranks so better players can move up instead of all bunch of at what use to be just GC. I am a GC currently, and was before the addition of 2 new GC's and Supersonic Legend, and before all of that the GC's I would play with would be actual GC's, I've played very little since Season 3 and before that season 12. I typically had a group of buddies other who would you know, play like Grand champs, but I can't help but notice that GC 1 now is a joke, I hardly play this game anymore because it really has gone down the drain something fierce. The people I play with now in GC 1 can't pass, can't rotate, miss shots, saves, passes, wall shots, aerials. This is the top 1.4% of rocket league and they don't play like it? Obviously im frustrated and I am really trying to be tame with this post, but I think it's insane at how terribly 85% of the playerbase is in GC-1.

Thats how it is in the higher ranks are now, lots including myself have been voicing this for a while. Meanwhile the rl defenders continue to swear up and down nothings changed...

very simple fix, find some teammates. The games META has changed. Sorry, I mean the way the average person thinks how to play.

In my experience they're spot on. I use quick chat appropriately and am constantly rammed by my team mates, dribbles ruined, passes ignored. Nobody passes either. They would rather try to score on their own.

GC1 is the top 0.66% in 2v2 and the top 0.44% in 3v3. Your opinion that these GCs "can't do ♥♥♥♥" doesn't matter. A hard reset doesn't change who the top "X%" is and what they're capable of. All it does it take all the MMR away from the system and makes players start from scratch. And giving it roughly 4 months to settle, all the players who play actively enough in the top 0.44% or top 0.66% will still be the same players you complained about. It changes absolutely nothing.

You cant read can you? Hes a GC so why tf wouldnt his opinion matter on those he has to play with at his rank? Im gonna guess you're the type of player hes talking about who knows nothing past "follow ball, touch ball, repeat."

Because he's a GC with an ego, that's why. He thinks he knows better than all these low GCs while being one himself. He thinks that the play quality dropped but if it did he should be higher in GC. But he's not. He's a GC1 and he only recently reached it in the last 2 seasons if you looked it up on the tracker.

Low GC has been like it was, since before F2P. He's just wrong.

I spent a lot of time in GC 1, and I do hard carry most of my games, and no I do not ballchase, Even though I earn MVP 95% of my games, it's not from chase, hit, chase, hit. Yes I looked you up and you did get SSL, but that doesn't make your opinion valid by any sense, Yes resetting the ranks and making ranks harder to obtain it would certainly fix atleast a good chunk of the problem, and yes GC is a lot easier to reach now than it EVER has. If you take out the great players and move them 3 ranks up, that takes them out of the GC1-GC2 Pool therefor making carries easier and even getting there easier in general. I've already contacted a few of my SSL mates who wholeheartedly disagree with you, and unlike you reaching SSL once, they've been SSL since season 1. Like I mentioned before, you assume there is ego, but what there really is, is facts. Pre-season 1 GC was a puddle of very good players, and yes being GC back then even though my MMR wasn't the highest I did in fact get queued up against pro's at the time. It's just simple logic, you take the good players out of something, it's easier for lower less able'd people to move up, and that's exactly what it is.

wtf, thats like saying im not allowed to talk about other "champ" players I see who just like op....but suddenly i have an ego for calling out bs??? If my tm8s cant pass, rotate, aerial, or any of the other basic by that point, there a serious issue. I 100% believe op because I've seen that kind of bs. Hes not being egotistical for calling out huge glaring mistakes he sees as an indicator theres an issue with ranked...

Especially when by that point even most diamonds shouldnt be making those mistakes or playing as though its still gold.

I get GC 1 with literally my first few games after getting my ranked placement, I play maybe like 10-20 games a season maybe not even anymore, I know for a fact I am at least low GC-3, I don't play enough games now to even hardly get a rank each season but I still managed to get GC-1, but I definitely play significantly better than almost everyone in GC-1, I dont have 90-200 games a season at GC-1 so to assume that I am a low GC-1 without seeing me play or having a large sum of games to assume I am a low terrible GC-1 is beyond silly.

I can't get out of platinum.......ever. I can't even get close now. I used to be able to hit diamond at least, now I'll never see that let alone the one time I was a match away from GC (whichever comes after diamond) Now it seems like the matching system is crazy. Sometimes I see gold, diamond, or GC playing platinum matches.
