Custom trails & team-specific wheels and trails

By custom trails, I mean -at least- modifying the current trails' colors, e.g. I like how plasma looks but I want it to be white, or I like how nitrous looks but I want it in green. Modifying the color accents on the wheels with colored elements would be nice as well.

In terms of team-specific trails and wheels, is this not something anyone else has proposed yet? I've griped about this to myself since day one. Seems so silly that it hasn't yet been implemented.
