Annoying problem playing with controller!

Every damn time I play using controller, when I press pause (start) in-game it splits the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ screen, it's so damn annoying, I just want to pause the game no join another me into the game with the same controller.

I've tried few things and nothing works:

-Never use the keyboard, so the game set the controller as the main one; didn't work
-Use the keyboard and just play with the controller; didn't work
-Im not sure what crossplay is, but I've disabled and enabled; same stuff

Fix this or make an option to disable split screen!

You may have to play around with your device settings in the Device manager, like disabling the keyboard or something. Not sure if it'll work but it might help. Also, enabling crossplay will match you with PS4 players. Disabling match makes you with other PC players only (whether it works or not is questionable, though).

Are you using PS4 controller by any chance? It is natively supported for Rocket League on PC so if you have any software like DS4windows or inputmapper you need to close that software or the game will think 2 controllers are connected at once. I had this problem but it disappeared after I turned DS4windows off.

Using a regular Xbox 360 controller just fine whilst my keyboard is plugged in.

It would help to know what kind of controller you're using........especially if it's a fix you want. Just saying "this doesn't work!" doesn't really help anybody do anything.

Are you using a third party program with the xbox one controller?
As Spookas mentioned there may be a another gamepad/HID that is taking priority over your controller and then setting your own to #2.

I Have the same Probilem. How can you connect a PS4 controller to PC without DS4Windows? Tell me. My PS4 Controller does not work woithout DS4Windows or InputMapper. And this "Press OPTIONS to join" is so annoying, i just want a friggin option to disable Splitscreen (even if its just in the Config).

You should just be able to to plug in your DS4 and start using it in RL. You can look in your device manager to see what other controllers you have connected which might be taking priority over your DS4

im using a bluetooth ps3 controller with the dongle
and when i try to use my controller it doesnt work just enables splitscreen

Have you heard of the replug trick? If the controller still says player one and you want it to be two unplug and replug fast untill it says player two. In your case do this untill it says player one

You should work for tech support. Literally all they tell me is unplug and plug back in.
