Using multiple Steam account on Splitscreen
Hi there,

I just bought Rocket League, but unfortunately, my laptop can't handle it at a solid framerate.

So, my friend and I managed to get it to run on splitscreen. That's enough, but here's the issue :

We are on the same Steam account. Meaning my friend is "Friend" and I am "Friend_2". Since I bought the game, I'd like to benefit from the experience and customization system.

So, is there a way to connect another Steam account while playing on the same PC ? So that my friend will be " Friend" and I will be "Me".

I know this is possible on PS4 using several PS+ accounts. Is this possible on any way on PC ?

Thanks !

I don't think you can run 2 steam instances at the same time, no

It's not possible with Steam, because Steam doesn't support it.
Is this still not possible? This is a shame, greatly diminishes the spliscreen feature. My brother's laptop is just too laggy, whereas my computer can handle it easily :-/

You'd have to have two instances of Steam running with two games running at the same time. Good luck with that.

Why can't you just log in with a second Steam account on the same instance? The Wii U and even the PS4 let you do it...

Steam doesn't support that but it would be neat if it did.

Yeah, that's a "Talk to Valve" issue.

Because split screen on PC is pretty rarely used. Not to. mention online splitscreen.

You never really need to use 2 steam accounts at the same time.
