Windows 10 is the very last thing I will ever install to any of my computer.
Oh, I get it. You don't know much about computers.
I have Windows 10 on 3 computers and it's not that good. And I know a lot about computers. One of the computers is on Microsoft's own branded hardware (Surface Pro 3) and it keeps dropping the the wireless on it (confirmed and known bug without a fix yet) - my performance has degraded with each and every patch on my main desktop (i7, 16GB RAM, GTX780). I've seriously considered going back to windows 7. So, sorry, Windows 10 has issues. I appreciate that it has fan boys, but not wanting it to hijack a piece of hardware has nothing to do with knowing computers or not.
With that said, I am still EAGERLY awaiting this Rocket League port to get it running on my kids steam machine so we can have in house matchups. I bought 2 steam machines and 2 extra copies of Rocket League with the anticipation of being able to play it with SteamOS. It's going on a half a year after with promised port dates past.
And no, I'm not installing any form of windows on the Steam Machines. Despite some issues (which every OS has), I have plenty of good reasons for sticking with a dedicated game os on these machines. They run well and I don't get the multitude of issues that my kids seem to have with windows based gaming. We live with the fact that they don't run a lot of the library - but Rocket League was a promised port and still isn't available. I would seriously like a refund at this point.
Refer to the 10th question of that interview.
Let's hope for the best. I saw this game on a LAN and was blown away, but my close friends are all on Linux (me too most of the time), so I will not get them to purchase it without a Linux version.
It was targeted to be released for linux along with the steam controller in November of last year.
Psyonix, FAIL!
I wish they would stop trolling with these fictitious release dates and just come right out and be honest.
(psyonix, if you can deliver before the end of the month, I will buy 5 copies and hand em out to friends/family. If not, I may just end up avoiding psyonix games like the plague)
Look at when this was posted.. LAST YEAR.
AAAAAND it was released on xbone before mac or linux. smh
I bought the game because Psyonix promised the Linux version by the end of 2015, then they decided that Xbox had priority and they kept delaying the linux version.
They basically took my money by deception.
I feel betrayed, Psyonix should be ashamed!
+1
