Missing .exe file. PLEASE HELP.
Within the "Game-Start Troubleshooting" discussion, one of the suggestions instructs allowing the reocket league exe to run as an admin to fix a start up error. My problem is that I don't even have the .exe file. I'm almost certain this is my problem. How do I get the .exe file?
Note: I searched in the suggested folders. This has been a running issue of mine for months now so I've been through all of the suggested way to fix missing files (verify game cache, etc...).

If you don't have an exe you should completely uninstall it and reinstall it via steam

I've done that many many times
Anti Virus?
I know the cheaper stuff will either blacklist or delete executables that change - id est a patch makes them think it is a virus.
Try either making a whitelist exception or disable the AV.

I run Avast and Malwarebytes. I've just disabled Avast and attempted to verify game cache again and it said "1 file failed to validate and will be reaqcuired" (which I'm assuming is the .exe). Sadly though, I then went to launch the game and received the same error "Failed to start game (Missing Executable)".

Keeping Avast disabled, try a uninstall/reinstall.
Or do a quick search for "RocketLeague.exe" It should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rocketleague\Binaries\Win32 just to see if it is there or not.

I will try that now and report back the results. Thanks for the suggestion.
Also, I did not find an .exe when searching.

It failed yet again. I have no clue whats wrong with it.
So you uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it and still the exe is missing?
Kill Malwarebytes?
Something is preventing the file from being accepted by your computer.
What else besides AV is running in the background?

Yes, I uninstalled an reinstalled with Avast off, exe still missing. I can try to kill Malwarebytes and Avast at same time and reinstall. The strangest thing though is that as you can see from my account I have played this game quite a bit. After about a month of owning and playing the game, I logged on and tried to start it up and randomly began having this error. Besides Avast and MB, I have McAfee, but that was running when I was able to play before it stopped working.

I would disable ALL AV and try to install the game. There was a recent patch which looks like a virus to McAfee and Norton and AVG etc.
Cheap AV reacts to changes in the exe rather than keeping a super-up-to-date-databases of known virus.

Alright thanks for the info. I'll try that tommorow.

Didn't work. Still receiving the "Failed to start game (Missing Executable)".
When Steam downloads the game it downloads successfully? No error messages?
And then when you try to run it (from Steam or a shortcut?) it tells you the exe is missing?

Only AV would delete the exe.

Correct. I turned Mcaffee, Avast, and malwarebytes off and reinstalled with no success.

Avast also has an exclusion on Steam.
