I know the cheaper stuff will either blacklist or delete executables that change - id est a patch makes them think it is a virus.
Try either making a whitelist exception or disable the AV.
Or do a quick search for "RocketLeague.exe" It should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rocketleague\Binaries\Win32 just to see if it is there or not.
Also, I did not find an .exe when searching.
Kill Malwarebytes?
Something is preventing the file from being accepted by your computer.
What else besides AV is running in the background?
Cheap AV reacts to changes in the exe rather than keeping a super-up-to-date-databases of known virus.
And then when you try to run it (from Steam or a shortcut?) it tells you the exe is missing?
Only AV would delete the exe.
