if you have a teammate who wears a "tournament winner"
just forfeit and move on, they ALL play the same. 100% of them just wanna be show offs wearing their stupid winner title from 3+ seasons ago thats probably from gold or diamond yet play like they never touched the game before or play like the rank below from what they are now.

those ball chasin, bumpers, always in your shadow, follow your exact movements to bump into you, ball hogs is their entire gameplay style, they are like those washed up racers trying to "live the good ol days".

I feel like the only people that think this way are people needlessly salty they cant get a title.

But for real just let us use our rewards in peace.

I also think that many of the tournament titles in the lower ranks are often earned by players who were carried through the tourney matches. While I don’t deny that there are players who truly live up to their titles, it’s quite uncommon. It’s similar to how a Gold player being toxic and might boast about being the "Zen of Rocket League" despite their actual trash performance and rank.

Idk what's going on but it's odd how GC tournament winners play like c1. they miss nearly everything which makes me wonder if they paid for someone to carry them. I mean the official rocket league discord has tons of people asking for someone to boost them. that was the case a few years ago. doubt it has changed.

If we consider everything below master/grand master/whatever as lower ranks, I fully agree. I mean I'm kinda good but not that good to tell how upper ranks are, I can hold my candle but I can't compensate for 2 match throwers or soggy soapbox derby dampions. And as I initially thought, platinum/diamond were a smoother experience, the assumption got squashed quite quickly...though that might have to do with an influx of late season losers, er I mean bloomers. Start of this season didn't feel too shiny for me so far either...guessing the bell curve is highest around starts and ends of seasons.

It's abysmal, is the *best* thing I can say about it. In one of the recent matches a guy actually went to a boost bubble further away from him rather than being the usual numbskull going back to the closest (instead of attending the kickoff as he was the closest to the ball to boot). It's wild and I really just can't even. So far I won 1 tournament with a team (I only play 3v3) but I don't remember if it felt much like an accomplishment but if it did, it was a fake sense of accomplishment. Another tournament (we lost) the toughest match was th quarter finals, they were better but we somehow were luckier. Not sure it was that team but one team I played in, the other two played fairly well until the last match and I thought was running with cavemen. Granted, I know many people break under pressure but I'm having a hard time believing it's going down THAT badly. I'd have to consider myself very unlucky if I didn't take care of my nails properly, my face just wouldn't be the same after some matches.
