How do I turn off auto speak?

I realized by accident that my mic seems to always have the chat icon, which I'm not intentionally doing that. I would like to make chat a button press instaed of auto sound.

On the options dude, go to the controls and at the last (i dont remember very well) there's an option for the mic.

go to options, audio section, then there should be a box that says "press to speak." put a checkmark in the box by clicking it and then you can only talk when you press a specific button.

In the Rocket League main menu:
Options > Controls > Push to Talk (make sure this box is checked)

If this doesn't fix the problem, you may be pressing a button you don't realize is the Push to Talk button. If you keep seeing the speaker icon in games when you don't want to talk, go to
Options > Controls > View/Change Bindings (scroll down about 3/4 of the way to an option called Voice Chat and change the key or button if you want it to be something you won't press on accident)
