Content, additions, adding a report button etc.
By the way, patches do not cause lag.

Simple is right. Your logic is faulty.

Do you have steam setup to download updates while playing? This is the only thing I can think of, but it would potentially be universal for any games.

Stop being cocky people wtf ? I may be wrong but everytime i play and quit there are new updates . During the game it is lagging i can tell when new update comes. What do you call that then ? Did your father developed the game or what. help or shut up

The game syncs with steam everytime you quit it, not during you playing. its not an update its merely the local data from the game that is synched with steam..you can turn it off globally

by---Steam->settings->Cloud->Enable steam cloud synchronization for applications which support it (untick this one) and none of your games will sync with steam. (the synching does not cause lag as it doesn't happen when the game is open)

Should it be the case that steam constantly have an update for RL for you when you start steam, then something is either wrong with your installation of steam, or the installation of RL on your particular machine, or you don't open steam that often.

well anyway..there is a myriad possible things that can cause lag..and very few of them are game or steam related...But I know the Synching happens everytime you quit the game if you havent turned it off.

Updates for games on steam doesnt download while you play the game the update is for (files are locked during that time so cant be updated), but if you havent ticked it off, updates for other games can download during you gaming (steam->settings->Downloads->allow downloads during gameplay)

Your router might be defective, you might have a viruskiller that is a bit strict on checking what goes in or out of your network (yes this causes lag). some random windows program in the background might steal some cpu ressources that the game need (that causes gamelag for you) etc etc..there is so many possible things that can cause lag, that regular users wont notice them most of the time or be completely lost as to what causes it..

Well i did the steam thing you mentioned before. I dont know maybe i get obsessed with it but lag stopped. I dont got any antivirus software nor an open tab to steal cpu. Pc is gaming pc. connection is fiber. looks okay now tho thank you.

It's just the cloud saving your data after quitting the game, it doesn't do anything before you quit, so whatever was causing you to "lag" was not that.

If you turn it off, make sure you manually save your data.

Like most have said. Everytime you exit the game it will Sync with Steam cloud. Syncing only happens after the game has closed.

Updates will always show in the Downloads section.
