Do I lose my inventory if I unlink the random epic account?

I've had RL before the epic merger, but I also have my own epic account, Can I safely remove the random account and link my own without losing any of my unlocks?

If steam has been your primary account whole time and you never changed your primary account to epic you can safely unlink your epic account without losing any items.

But I want to link my actual epic account to my steam version of the game, is that possible? Will I still keep everything?
