Uninstall/Reinstall
Just curious, if I were to uninstall, would I be able to reinstall via Steam? This game keeps crashing on me and with the new "casual time bans" has become a real headache. One of the most common resolutions to the crashing issue has always been "uninstall and reinstall" but before I try that, would I be able to reinstall via Steam or would it be only thru EPIC...and what would happen to all my items, etc...I set up a dummy EPIC account when the transition to EPIC occurred a few months ago so I really don't have a "real" account with them, or do I? Thanks for any input and Happy Holidays where ever you may be.

About reinstalling and dummy account
Yes, you can safely reinstall, game will be still in your Steam Library - if you would search forums you could find someone who did, for example here :
https://steamcommunity.com/app/252950/discussions/3/3192487178171129979/

Most of stuff are stored on servers like Inventory, Rank, XP Level, etc. :
https://support.rocketleague.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015578513-What-information-is-stored-locally-and-what-on-the-server-

It's fine if you have only dummy Epic account.
Without full account - you just can't trade with other players and if you play on console/s too then can't share progress and some DLCs from there.

About crashing:
I almost never recommend just reinstalling game on PC, especially if that didn't solve issues after multiple reinstalls.

You should try suggestions here :

If it won't help then this method can say sometimes better where is issue, copy text of report or upload screenshot :
Control Panel - Security and Maintenance - Maintenance - Reliability History (Monitor) - View all reports - Search for Rocket League and View Details - Double click to open report with recent date/time when game had recently issues (if you have more reports click on "More").
Line 'Faulting module' could say most about issue. Guide with images https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/75294-view-reliability-history-windows-10-a.html

thank you for your reply. I did see your response to other posts that had crash issues. The faulty indicator is d311.dll...i did sfc /scannow and all reported as OK...updated all Windows and nVidia drivers. I have a GTX 1070 and there seems to be some history with Unreal based games and nVidia...will most likely bring in to my local computer shop to get better diagnostics...thanks again.

For issue with d3d11.dll file you can try basically go to this path (for me) :
F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010
Find DXSETUP.exe and run it - it may repair corrupted or missing .dll.
It helped guy in this post with game crashing :
