Parental controls disable chat functions

I've had Rocket League since who knows how long, and recently reinstalled the game. Every time I start up the game initially, it disables my chat feature to communicate, or rather get flamed by teammates. Upon opening up the Epic games client, the issue seems to go away.

Rather then opening up that client each time, is there a solution to fix this issue, or would I have to contact the support team to solve this?

Sounds like Load Failure or Save Failure issue, did you see one of those pop-up messages after launching game? Tutorial after game launch is also symptom of those.

I have no message pop up in the circumstances when it happens. Game launches past splash screens into main menu perfectly fine. I've been reading online on some older reddit threads and it might have something to do with having fortnite downloaded. I would highly doubt that would be an issue, but if anything would be something on the back-end if its regarding that.

Having the same issue. I can't chat with anybody, only quick chat, because somehow "parental controls", where there seems to be no setting for within RL.

just noticed this too. apparently there is no setting within steam, however there is on epic
