Do people not use Quickchat anymore?

Haven't played in a few years, just re-installed and literally no one is using the chat anymore?
Like not just normal chat to talk ♥♥♥♥ about their own team but not even the quickchat to announce their plays?
Is this some Epic / Steam / Console crossplay thing that is not working?
Or did everyone in ranked got hit by a chat restriction?

They do, maybe not as much, but I see it as a bonus tbh. I get fed up with people telling me to 'take the shot' when there is literally nothing else I can do than to 'take the shot'

I recommend you to check Settings - Chat too, as it may be disabled on your end.

I believe that even if players had Chat ban they still can use Quick Chats and you can see Quick Chats from all platforms.

I do barely ever use it nowadays, mainly because most plays that I see are so common to me that I don't see them worthy the compliment.
When it comes to announcing who goes for the ball.. I do respect the unwritten rule of the left side goes.. And if that's not possible or am unsure, I do announce it before the match continues.

The main reason for not using the quick chat is due to the people using it sarcastically, reporting XYZ left and right, and .. If I don't use quick chat, then there's no consequence to face, you know?
So, unfortunately, it has become the better safe than sorry mentality for me.

I mean, just take a look at the announcements, the news - We're not getting any feedback from the developers; Following that approach, I do strongly doubt I would've received a response upon contacting them in regards to the ban appeal, if I were to face one in the first place, so there's no point in taking such unnecessary risk.

I always use the quick chat and others in my games usually use the quick chat. Maybe you are not using quick chat, so your teammates also don't bother to use quick chat to respond, or maybe its a rank thing. At platinum rank I regularly hear quick chat from most players in the game.

I have all chat turned off as got sick off the toxicity. Am playing better and enjoying game much more. The funny thing is now sometimes my team mate will score a goal and then just sit there for the next kick off. I guess they're upset I didn't say nice one lol

100% agree. Pointing out really bad plays (for that rank) is not toxic, like most players are decent in attacking but sucking so hard when it comes to the defensive part. And pointing that out is not toxic it is pointing out to DO BETTER.
Like today the ranked play is so even 1 single player ruins 1 game like instantly.
Rotations becomes off due to one player not paying attention, double going for balls (usually same player) doing all standard misstakes.

Its gotten so bad now that it is basicly impossible to rank up without a premade team as 1 single player in solo cues ruin the game so hard.
Had like 6/7 out of last 10 matches loose just because 1 player in team dont pay attention to the other teammates.

GOLDEN RULE for all; if you often end up going up for balls with other teamplayers then you need start think; am i doing something wrong?

1 single double go can easily cost the game these days.

Yep, that seems to have been the case. No wonder nobody ever replied. Was set to party only.
