Good enough for me..
As for the rest.. If I wish to have those items to my collection, I do get the premium Rocket Pass.
Generally speaking, I do agree with you.
The quality, not just of the Rocket Passes, but of the servers, the community behavior, content, and everything around the game has gone downhill ever since the game got F2P.
The fault isn't really Epic's.. Everything's happening because of the F2P; If they're not getting money, then of course the quality of the content will be decreased.. Right?
Obviously there's gonna be only few people would do that, not to mention that you can no longer trade back the items for creds. I had to disagree with you that it's not epic's fault. F2P was epic's decision after buying Rocket League out of steam store. Sure, F2P added burden to the server's cost and brought smurfs (in turns made lot of people leave), but not only that, they removed trading just to secure their funds to make sure people that wanted Jager or Cyclone in Rocket Racing cannot get it for measly 50 creds while they can charge 1500 (15$) for a car there, which is funny that my friends who used to be hyped about it and playing it much no longer play it anymore. Their GREED is killing Rocket League and put the game into this current state: Less playerbase, and less Rocket Pass quality.
Community did the right thing: Voting with their own wallets. If you don't like something, don't buy it, just like you did with rocket passes. Nothing wrong with it.
As community behaviour, (especially smurfing problems) I wanted to Rocket to see the difference between this game and CS2, where you are separating free users from paid users with prime. While paid user can toggle it off and play with F2P players, they (by default) have it turned on which automatically find another paid user to go against with, rather than matchmake everyone in single place. It doesn't restrict you from playing with F2P players, but you won't find them unless you asked the game to (prime is P2P exclusive), while F2P by default plays against F2P players. Not only that, you are locked out of ranked and in cs2, it goes as extreme as you don't get any drops until you own prime. While cs2 is cs2 and rocket is rocket, I wanted to rocket to at least adapt half of the prime setting to get rid of the smurfing problem of F2Ps. Instead of DLCs, It would been better if the game checks if the player spent at least 5$ in item shop or have bought the game in the past, then the player goes on prime mode (which only allows P2P players to get matched), and vice versa with F2P players. Restrict ranked to P2P players and only let F2P play casual, in order not to break matchmaking ranks. Then lastly, indicator if you are running prime mode or not (just like cs). This way, epic will at least get some people "paying" for the game, addressing the problem earlier with the "funds", and solves smurfing as well. Again: paid players can turn it off, or even get it turned off when a F2P player joined the party
And for OP: Even though the rocket pass would be ♥♥♥♥, if i gonna keep playing rocket league, I keep using the 1000 cr rocket pass cuz it always return your creds whatever. I mean, it always refund you, so why bother thinking? If it start to cost you, then I'll definitely think twice before buying. Ofc I won't buy rocket pass when I won't play rocket league actively at that season though.
