trade banned

so i stopped playing rocket league a few months back and i could trade then coming back im no longer able to trade what might have happened?

can you make groups with other people?
if not maybe you got banned before the long pause and the ban only begins if you log in the game

there is not such thing as trade banned

i can make groups and play still just cant trade at all

I've been in the same situation as you. I've been trade ban for no reason. First, I thought it was a problem when Epic games comes around, but no. I did file a complain on https://support.rocketleague.com/
And this is the answer I get from them :

"Hey Sam,

Thank you for contacting Rocket League Support.

My name is Giorgio and I'm a supervisor for the support team; your case was escalated to me for further review.

You were permanently trade banned on 12/18/2019 for actions that happened between April and May, 2019. This was for violating Section 8(u) of our Terms of Use.

I would like to inform you that this ban is permanent and will not be removed, this decision is final.

Thank you for your understanding.

Rocket League Support will never ask you for your platform username or password.

Here's what the article 8u says :
"(u) attempts in any manner to obtain the password, account, or other security information from any other user."

This is pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ since I never tried to steal account or password of RL players. But I did a lot of trade and I encounter a lot of scammer and every time I find a scammer, I report him. I assume 1 or more of them get their little revenge by reporting me. It would be quite easy to just use snipping tool and take the part of the steam discussion they want and put a fake and incriminating message in my discussion bubble. And now I'm permanently trade banned :/

I assume your situation must be similar to mine.
