People who go AFK or Rage Quit need banning

I'm at champ 3 and i've literally just had four games where 3 team mates went AFK and the Other was trolling.. the funny thing is i won 2 of the game by my self. The Guy who was trolling was playing against me despite being on my team. Whoever runs or owns this rubbish game now (EPIC) Needs to sort this out. The Community is even more toxic than before.

NO!!! Look, I dont mean the real trolls stuff, however... it's the people demanding such things as said in your post who should actually be considered of bann-able behavior. People who REFUSE to forfeit the match "our" team will lose anyway (0-4, 0-5, 0-6 whatever, you got the point) should be banned. THEY are the problem, because other players who voted to forfeit HAVE to stay on field to avoid timeout penalty and hence WASTE TIME. And time is an important factor for those who aren't teens at mama's basement. To be/go AFK is the right of every player, whose teammates refuse to forfeit a clearly hopeless match to win.

And rage quit isn't a problem for you (player remaining on field) at all: you can freely leave then with no timeout penalty. (I don't count losing points here, because you can still stay on field and try to win).

Here is the problem, some people like to play regardless the score or opportunity to win. They should not be banned for that, nor should you get angry at them for that. The only way for you to avoid those people is to team up with others who want to ff like you do. Its a game and comp or not is supposed to be enjoyable, people are different have different mentalities no reason to penalize for that. Just like for example you random que with a ball chaser, you adapt to their behavior if you want to win.

Well that's not quite correct to just say, adapt with a ballchaser... Sure if you queue solo in 3v3s you never know what ends up on the plate, but there is a big difference when you are pretty much 1v3ing and the other 2 guys just afking or not really playing... Let alone on high ranked level, 1 guy can either make or break your game tbh... You are not supposed to carry your team to a win in a 3v3 and the other guys kinda leeching wins... They accept the fact they troll and get reported. Giving them a short term ban of 5 minutes isn't going to cut it lol... I think most people here have played RL for quite some time and i've really seen this community downgrading from going forward to absolute ****. Hell I'll admit I get mad sometimes, but its mostly the stuberness of people not willing to hear any piece of advice either... Every player on any level (mostly any level) thinks they are better than anyone in their team...

I get your idea that everyone has a different mentality but there is bad pattern in this game coming back over and over again.... They really need to make an effort to get this out of the way... It's not okay that you can't play solo in 3v3s or whatever without having to deal with such situations... It can happen for sure, but the amount it is happening now is absurd.

I really love RL but i stopped playing because of this, I kept hoping that maybe this season things will be different, but no... People just wanne play RL and **** on eachother whenever they see fit... It's a disgrace how this game ended up to what it is now and where it used to be....

I agree with both of your comments. This behaviour is ruining the game. On top of the staleness that is RL after 5 years now. It needs freshening up in my opinion. F2P has killed the game unfortunately.

If a team mate wont ff and stops playing then i agree that is bs, I was referring to those who wont ff but keep playing. The ball chaser thing was just a quick anology to show that people already adapt to different situations in the game, someone not ff and still playing would be one of those. The only thing you lose with someone on your team not ffing is time, you are already going to lose mmr if you lose the game, and your not losing alot of time at most its 5 minutes.

As far as the community, i solo que quite a bit, some days i get annoyed with my random team mates, on those days i just walk away until a friend is available to team with.

Agreed. Happened to me last time in a plat tournament & I got banned from forum for doing so (I gave a name of someone who wanted to ff in 2nd chance tournament, though we carried him to semi-finals).

It doesn't seem to be punishable that often, sadly.

Look, we may be on comlete different sides of the subject here (with anyone participating here in the discussion)... For the record, if we talk for real here, I dont think anyone should be banned for anything despite of what I said above (that was kinda the counter subject on banning matter) ...the point I make is of following source: the above mentioned toxicity of RL is a poor argument/point. this is internet, we all live with it, nobody cares, nobody takes it for real ♥♥♥♥, cmon, lets be real. Hence my profile name... my chat is off completely, the "toxicity" isn't a problem for me at all. the point is: I do not like it, when people specifically choose not to forfeit the match, despite the fact our team will not win it anyway, just to troll the other player/players. THIS behavior IS BS. and as of my experience with RL (and I do have some, obviously) those ppl always brag on chat then "report him" and talking ♥♥♥♥ of you anyway. THAT is BS behavior, NOT that others wnat to spare time -> get out -> look for a new match.

And going AFK for me (only if we lose the macth anyway) is just a part of the point not wanting to support those kind of players.

But I guess we all agree on the fact that psyonix have to do something about this system, couse it's f**d up. they must implement some kind of second chance to forfeit... that as if this second one's cool down is up you are free to quit with losing MMR (obviously), but not taking timeout ban. or anything like that Idk

There's nothing wrong with the game the way it is, only with your way of thinking. If you want your teammates never to forfeit then party up with some bros of like thinking and you won't ever forfeit even when you are down 17 to 1. You can have the game of your dreams.

Such people should play unranked/casual matches and not get on the balls of people trying to rank up. Just my opinion and I agree with everything Johnny said.
