Look at team fortress. Gives you no idea what to expect from the name alone. Probably gives you plenty of ideas that are complete red herrings in fact.
Then look at halo, counterstrike, unreal, doom, quake, half-life, portal, any game with an identity. These names give you nothing.
Agreeing with Twahn, names don't have to be a plain description of their product. "Extra" is gum; "Gold Bond Ultimate" is a lotion; "Steam" is a videogame distribution platform.
Did that mod happen to be a re-mix of the original bombing run game mode? they seem somewhat similar in nature

Carball didn't use very much from Bombing Run to make. even the ball isn't the same. The concept of 2 teams and a ball and 2 goals is about all they have in common.
I think Bombing Run should of been remade into Fragball why was it that only Carball got to upgrade into Rocket League and BR didn't?
