Regardless, there's not much more you can add to the game that would justify a full release sequel. The game works fine in theory, but terrible in practice because of 1. Bad online matchmaking. When a game causes more conflict with your teammates on a regular basis than the opposing team, it's a bad game that deserves to fail. 2. Their absolutely dire decision to automate banning for unsportsmanlike conduct with no appeals process. Automation works fine for chat, but not for everything else. Griefers (and groups of griefers) can take full advantage of mass false reporting.
Epic should save their billions for something more meaningful and worthwhile. Not on a community as garbage as this.
Agreed not much more could be added to the game itself, unless it's more creative ways to make new modes. Other than that it could be just a bump up in graphics and audio, much like other titles have done.
Rest of your post is just pessimistic and grim off-topic. I'm not going there. Thanks for the input to the topic though, Persony Person.
No it isn't. If you can't even be bothered to even acknowledge the problems with the first one, then asking for a 2nd is just stupid. You're asking for a game that doesn't deserve to be created.
I don't thnk we need a sequel, tbh. We just needed better management system (and epic being the a-hole here)
Damn F2P...
Rocket League in fortnite first look
It's not just a crossover with epic made models. These are actual rl models, sounds and whatever else we don't see on clip. If they bought whole company for that, then it will be propably longer than one month thing.
Personally I hope this is not the case for Rocket League, but at the same time, I wouldn't be too surprised honestly. It would be a shame.
That might not seem like a big deal, but it really is. There's no reason for them to do it purely for a racing mode that might not even take off, so the fact that they've done it is an indication that the UE5 version of Rocket League is pretty close. In game design, the full range of skinned models is usually one of the last things to be completed, since it's low-priority for testing how well the game works.
Core features such as game mechanics and networking definitely need to be in check before even thinking about porting assets.
This is serious stuff, we might be seeing Rocket League "Re-fueled" "Reborn" or "2" in the near future, if this information is confirmed in any capacity, leaked files or data mining maybe? Has epic or Psyonix talked about this anywhere? Either way, thanks for bringing this information with you.
