Stay mad.
It's crazy the amount of people who are saying stuff like "Trading is the only reason a lot of people "play" this game, they are going to lose so many people due to this" GOOD, NO ONE WANTS YOU HERE ANYWAYS, this isn't a trading simulator, if you don't actually enjoy playing the game than no one cares if you leave, go play on the stock market instead, also the amount of people jumping on the Epic hate bandwagon saying they killed the game is ridiculous, as someone who actually plays the game unlike most of the people complaining apparently, it literally hasn't changed at all, the actual game play is pretty much identical to what it was 4 years ago, if you don't like it now you never would have liked it in the past.

That is exactly how I would respond if I had no counter arguments but still wanted to signify that I will blindly go along with whatever the majority says without question.

Nah, as someone who played since 2016, I just hate that one of the best game feature is removed. I'm not saying that rocket league is dying and #saverocketleague, it's way too hardcore, but it's just like, having your cake decoration stripped in front of you.

You probably referring to those people who do nothing but staying in lobbies trying to earn more money, but i'm more like, play, get items (unwanted), post in garage, plays, gets notification, trade the guy, back to play. Trading is a good way to get rid of unwanted item and get something in return, but now, it's going to get removed.

The reason why I HATE the decision is that, I could have get a BM decal cheaply to use, like a dissolver (costed me 350 cr), than buying it on item shop (cost 2000 cr). It's not like the only people who do trades only looking for profit. We aren't stock market guys, lol, don't generalize us like that.

Seriously, I find OP's funny af. There's no reason to have trading removed rather than to fatten up epic games wallet. Now, players has to shell more money :imrich: to decorate their cars.

Unless you are a type of people who are "jealous" toward people who decorate their cars and only go stocktane, or "irritated" on the fact that other can benefit from trading, i don't see any reason for you to hate trading. Again, except you are one of those two people.

You can hate the people who try to profit from other people, but you shouldn't hate the feature.
You can be uninformed, but don't be stupid.

First off, my cars definitely look better than yours, also the fact it makes the game more money is a good thing, the more money it makes the more likely they are to invest more into it and not just abandon it, especially on the esports side of things, the game making more money is a good thing for it's future.
As for the fact you can get items cheaper through trading, is obviously true, but with things like bakkesmod existing, the ability to show off car designs to other players is pretty minor, and a lot of people are pretending like it is game ending to not have that option, which is what I am responding to, people just saying "Eh that kinda sucks and wish they would keep it but whatever" aren't the ones this post is aimed at.

And you may not be one of the people who just use the trading feature to make money, but a large portion of traders are exactly that, there is a huge amount of traders that spend all day in trading discords looking for items they can flip, we don't have to pretend like they don't exist, they are the ones saying they will stop "playing" because of this not people like you. Although most of the complainers are people who probably don't even lightly trade like you, and just hear other people complaining so jump on the bandwaggon.

And "best game feature" is a bit of a stretch, most likely the vast majority of people who play this game never use the trade feature, it's hardly one of the best features.

"Definitely looks better than yours"
Wow, that's subjective. I have lot of licensed cars, from skyline, ford mustang mach e, nascar, just to name a few. I could say that my build is very decent and not lose to most people out there. It's funny when people say "My cosmetic is better than someone"

Bakkesmod. It's more like preview before buying. It's client side and you can't show it off to others. Item mod usage is only for preview for me.

Yes, i know. I know a notable portion people are trading maniac who wait on the lobby, but just because there are players who do this, doesn't mean that the trading itself is the problem. It's like saying that stoves is a dangerous thing and is a problem to humanity because a portion of it explodes and triggers fire.

Well, most majority don't do trades nowaday because epic games won't let f2p players to trade. They don't have ability to. But those who paid 500cr/the game and now having it removed... It's just awful.

"It's subjective" is exactly what someone with an objectively worse looking car would say.

And showing off to others is fine and all, but it is hardly a big deal not to be able to despite what people are saying.

Also I never said that people using the trading as a way to make money was a problem or justification to remove it, I was just saying that I don't care that those specific people are upset because they don't contribute anything meaningful or even play the game anyways.

And it was always the case that the vast majority of people don't trade, that isn't a new development because of anything Epic did, most people just don't care to do it, and as much as it sucks that they are removing it, it's simply not as big a deal as a lot of people are making it out to be.

Completely wrong. Only people who close minded would say that. It's precisely like a kid who thinks that only they have the best things, and not other people. People have different perspective and take on something. What's looks trash to you may look cool to others, what is not important to you is may be important to others. There was a wise man saying: "A man's trash is other man's treasure", and "Truth is just a matter of perspective" (Captain Price, MW3).

Pretty much, just because "you don't care", doesn't mean other's don't. People make a big deal out of it, because it "affects them." It's not like you can shove your opinion as the general guideline for others. When you said "it's hardly a big deal", others may beg to differ.

If you say the traders never made contributions or play the game, then you are wrong. Those white hat owner are mostly people who finds bugs and plays the game. They do contribute, sometimes in trading, sometimes in bots, they just look at everything. (One of them found ghost credits issue). They are trader themselves, if not, they won't have white octane, white zomba, etc. Even normal traders actually livens up the game by playing and exchanging stuff to each other, well, not the ones who try to profit all time by staying in the lobby, but you get my point.

Let me tell you a story, I know a kid (13-yo) who I helped up to set up to trade and grinded rocket pass for first time (lent 1000cr, and retrieved back as he hits 110), and he curses at epic games because this journey would be the last time he could get anything out of the game. I couldn't agree of his behavior, but it's clear what his sentiment is. That's why i also helped him to trade and stuff, getting fennec, bubbly, or whatever he can get with his items myself. I just feel bad him because he desperately want to earn a few more creds just to buy wheels to show off. While showing off not a need of someone to be able to play the game, it's undeniable that lot of people like to show off their cars and wanted to look good, and aren't satisfied with bakkesmod, which is, well, only you can see them. Again, different people, different perspective. As you said, it's not like the game would end, but it's such a dealbreaker for me, and for others. Those people just went hardcore and hyperbole it.

But again, I definiitely felt the impact: less playerbase after the announcement. The player counts that queue for a match dwindles down are the impact of the people who left, or "boycotted" the game. Before the announcement, I can find one match in every ten seconds, twenty at most. Now? It's averaging at 1 minute to find a match and get loaded in, sometimes a minute and a half.

Objectively speaking, your opinion is completely subjective. Well, not to say mine is completely objective either, but i think mine is closer to, as i take general sentiment and facts to the table. You cannot just "judge" that "oh, it's definitely look worse than me", that's subjective, it's never objective. The only way something is objective, is when you take your feelings out of equation, and relies on pure logic. As long you have feelings attached when making a judgement, it never will be objective.

Remember, i never said it's best feature. I said: "One of the best"
Maybe 4th, maybe 3rd, maybe 5th, but not number 1. It's one of the "core" element on the game, and I believe a lot of people would agree. But of course, again, this is subjective, because people who don't care about it would definitely say that "ah, what's the big deal?". It's because it didn't affect them, or they never begin in the first place.

Again, even if you don't trade, I can't fathom why you would hate the feature. You can hate the people who invite you, you can hate the people who stay in the lobby 24/7, but you can't hate a feature when it's something you can utilize of. It's crazy to think that someone would actually hate a feature. It's like hating knifes because some people murders with it, while knifes, like kitchen knifes, are not a problem in the first place, it just people that used it wrong.

Nonetheless, as I see that neither of us would change our stands of view of this, replying would be a waste of time. I'll let other decide if you are right, or i'm right. My point is still standing and sound. I have valid arguments, and so do you (while being completely subjective at that). This is BlueLightning, signing off.

Nothing is truly subjective, we live in a deterministic world without free will and peoples experiences are completely determined by what the brain is objectively doing, and in that completely deterministic and objective world, my cars look objectively better than yours, denying this is just denying basic physics, you might as well say the shape of the earth is subjective and you experience it as being flat so it is, that is the same level of logic you are employing.

And a lot of the people that are leaving are doing it because the community told them to be upset, or because they were just using bots to do trades, no one who actually enjoyed playing the game stopped enjoying the game play, they are just following the herd. Imagine they released the new oblivion remake without horse armor and people said that they ruined the game and boycotted it, that is the level of insanity these people are demonstrating.

honestly the reason i stopped playing is the integration of epic friends was really jank. me and my friend at the time couldnt actually add each other/invite each other to parties, whereas with rocket friends, we had no issue. the integration of a new friends system where it wasn't needed actively made the game worse for me so i just didnt bother anymore. the game was already crossplay before epic bought it, so you cant even use that as an excuse for rocket friends being kiboshed.
Yeah if my friends were to dumb to figure out how to add friends with the new system I would probably stop playing and reevaluate my entire life and the people I hang out with as well.

no reason to get defensive. the new friends system just wasn't working for us. we couldn't even find each other when trying to add each other. it sucked. idk if it's better now, but regardless, you don't need to get so defensive when people criticize the game you like. it's just video games. it's really not that serious.

no reason to get defensive. the new friends system just wasn't working for us. we couldn't even find each other when trying to add each other. it sucked. idk if it's better now, but regardless, you don't need to get so defensive when people criticize the game you like. it's just video games. it's really not that serious.
I was actually going on the offensive not the defensive, but if you couldn't figure out how to add friends on rocket league I guess I am expecting to much to assume you could distinguish between the two.
