Your steering sensivity?
People in Dia3Div4 and up, what is your steering sensivity? Don't tell me it's personal preference, and don't tell me to look what the pro's use, and if you just copied pro settings, then don't comment either. I just want to hear from ordinary people, who've found a steering sensivity that works for them. My rank is Champ1Div4.

Hmm.. Let's see..
I do definitely recall copying it from some pros, but adjusting it to my personal preferences afterwards, tweaking it throughout the years.. That shall qualify.

Steering sensitivity: 2.10
Aerial sensitivity: 1.80
Controller deadzone: 0.20
Dodge deadzone: 0.80
Mouse sensitivity: 10.00
Keyboard input acceleration time: 0.00
Keyboard aerial safety turned off.

I don't know what all you're looking for.. But if I think about it, I should list even my camera settings, as your camera settings shall kind of match your steering and overall controlling sensitivity.
And, it is, indeed, a personal preference. You're free to think otherwise, but you'd be wrong with that.

Now.. I don't currently have a rank, but I've used to have Diamond II - Champion I X seasons in a row, and do face SSL and Grand Champions in casual playlists.. So, that shall mean, I'm around that rank, right?

I know it's personal preference, but I was hoping that a lot of people would comment so that I could see if people were in the range of 1.00 - 1.50 or 1.50 - 2.00.

People don't think twice about it when they copy pro players settings, and they don't realise that they're making the game harder for themselves with, let's say, Aerial Sensivity at 1.80 and upwards. That's a pretty high sensivity for someone in the lower ranks. (Plat-Dia-Champ1) It might work for you, but my point is that people shouldn't just copy pro player settings if they can't control them. (And they don't realise that they can't control them, at least not until much later)

The only thing I was looking for was your steering sens. I find myself in a disadvantage with my 1.20 steering sens in the higher ranks, because steering basically means that the car will turn faster/sharper. And I've noticed that 1.20 is quite low compared to pro's.

I guess your real rank is Champion 2 X in competitive. It's hard to say, because I don't know if your rank in casual has anything to say. But your rank in competitive is definitely higher than the one you're given, because of smurfs etc.

You're not gonna get a lot of people here, unless you're fine with waiting months for people to come by and share their steering sensitivity.. As most of them aren't active on Steam discussions, or are active once in a blue moon.

I have no clue if 2.10 is too high, but it works for me.. The only thing that gets messed up is my positioning, causing me to miss those balls and get those accurate passes and shots.. It's not related to the steering sensitivity at all.
I do agree with your point, but that's not gonna stop them. From what I can see in my matches, most of them are having steering sensitivity at ~2+..

Yeah, 1.20 feels like a way too low sensitivity to allow for quick rotations, which may be necessary if you're encountering players near your skill level, and so you don't need as much time to adapt and steer your car in a completely different direction at the very last moment to have the best and most effective deflection..

No, my real rank.. At least from my own point of view, is Diamond III.
I can compete with Champions and a bit higher ones, but not for a long time.. Those matches are very exhausting, and I can find myself making even more mistakes once I run out of energy.
The last time I've played at Champion I, I've felt really uncomfortable.
People were much better in regards to the mechanical skill, but their game sense, predictions, boost conserving, rotations.. Those were completely off the mark and so it was easier the moment they've had to get their boost ASAP.. Because it has been taking them forever to return with already replenished boost. By that time, a goal or two were scored..
I do no longer play competitive matches, mainly because those rewards are no longer worth the required invested time. They're all just a poor design in comparison to the legacy seasons afterall.

Sorry for late answer. Yep, it's super exhausting playing against people above your own rank. I make stupid mistakes, that I normally don't do. But it's nice to know that they're only winning because they're more consistent in their skills, so it's not because they can do a lot of stuff that I can't.

Actually, that depends on how huge the skill difference it is. If it's too big, it's gonna be boring.. If it's not so big, you may find it fun and even learn a thing or two!
It doesn't matter why they're winning. If they're not having fun, they've lost.. At least in my eyes.
im still new bug higher steering lower aerial feels better to me

I don't know if its default or not, but my settings looks like this:
Steering sensitivity: 1
Aerial sensitivity: 1
I have no idea what it means or does, because I never been into settings, except for camera angle.

Im not super aknowgeble about the game either, but im pretty confident about playing in champion league for last 7 or 8 seasons and I have no rush to achive better ranks mostly because there is huge skill gap and Im not gonna do anything about it ('cs im lazy af), unless it would happen naturally. I feel like with my current skills GC is possible, but I really have to grind for it, it's not something like champ ranks which I could reach overnight in any mode.

I can reccomend you to play with what you are comfortable to play, im pretty sure that only amount of time you put into practice matters, and there is no settings which would make you learn mechanic faster or make execution significantly better.

Im ssl and i can confidently say after experimenting with sensitivities a lot I would still compete in ssl so long as my sens is anywhere between 1 and 3. it just messes with muscle memory. which is why it is preference. people use the controller differently which promotes different sensitivities. I play better on sensitivities between 1-1.5 mainly due to car control getting more fine the higher it is. smaller movements get translated to bigger movements. ive played since 2016 on different controllers, deadzone ect tho whole lot. Its just what feels good with what device/settings and it can change drastically. my advice would be to pick a controller you are comfortable with and increase your sens by 0.02 until you feel improvement, notice when you start to lose control then you have a range to work with. rinse and repeat. then stick with that device and sens.
