Why is Rocket League is in two different folders?
So I noticed Rocket League is in two different folders, #1) C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\rocketleague and also #2) C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Rocket League. The game seems to open and point to #1 which seems to have everything but the replay saves (TAgame, Binaries, Engine) and #2 just has TAgame where the replays are but there is another TASystemSettings.ini config file here too with different config settings than #1. Is this normal? Should I do something about the TASystemSettings.ini config files not matching? I'm not having any issues, just wondering if I should reinstall or just leave it alone cause I'm trying to get the least input lag.

It is quite normal for games to not store configuration files or save/replay files in the game folder.

There are actually quite a few places that games store config/saves.

Documents
Documents\My Games
Documents\Saved games
C:\Users\(MicrosoftLoginName)\Saved Games
C:\Users\(MicrosoftLoginName)\AppData\Local
C:\Users\(MicrosoftLoginName)\AppData\Roaming

Storing games in Documents is most common, but a lot are going to Local/Roaming now.

Usually the ini files in the game folder are used for when there is no file in the Documents folder. It's like template usually. Really depends on how the developer sets up Unreal engine.

it's also bad practice to store your config/saves in the game folder. If the game gets uninstalled or corrupted you could lose all your data.
