Vet returning after 2 years.. are the servers this bad?
I'm noticing what I would call micro lag.. not enough to change the game but it is enough to notice (for those with a keen eye).

I have 1 gig internet but on wifi, though notice 0 lag on my other games I play online.

Is this due to Epic?

Sounds like an ISP issue but I have google fiber with zero issues my ping is always minimal

You're not wrong; I've been playing on the same setup since day 1 but it's gotten immensely worse

Only US West servers are terrible

Again, my comment from a similar thread:

"Are you on wifi? If you are, then make sure you use the 2.4GHz and not the 5.0GHz. RL seems lagging and packet lossing on 5GHz, but kind of stable on 2.4."

No way am I switching to 2.4 for RL... ridiculous.
I have 1gb internet at 5Ghz... not ruining it for other games or my download speed being capped from it. Wifi6 baby.

I'm literally here for the same reason; the stutter/lost-signal/warping/lag have become really bad, every game now. Even local servers where my ping is less than 10. I have reset my router (75Mbs fibre, direct cable connection to desktop PC). Always had smooth connection (3,000+ hours), until a week or two ago. Now constant connection problems.

If you are having packet loss between you and your router you might have some weird interference going on or something wrong with your card or modem. If you are having packet loss after your modem then it's an ISP thing. WIFI 6 is pretty dam good so if you are having issue somethings up.

Don't forget to gigabit speeds or 5mbps, you are going to end up with the same speeds to and from the server. T speed is not how fast your connection is as much as how much you can shove through the pipe at the same time. I believe rocket league only needs 1.5 mbps to play as a point of reference

2.4GHz is a more stable connection in short range, while 5GHz is more stable in long range. If you are worried about the porn download speeds, there is no difference as the "GHz" is just the wavelength and not the bandwidth.

This is incorrect chief.

2.4ghz max download speed is 450 mbps, 5ghz is over 1gbps, and I have 1gb internet.

Changing your input buffer to CSTS in [Settings > Gameplay] could help, as well as enabling port-forwarding as explained here[www.epicgames.com]

I was experiencing the same thing, long story short try MSI afterburner and turn your fans up. Maybe try in video settings disabling everything and turn down all settings and if it helps add them back slowly? I wasn't running hot but i think they were spiking so keeping them cooler made the spike not freak things out. I spent months going crazy but it been good since. (I remember i had problems that went away when i deleted RL from my epic library also)

If the last time you played was 2 years ago, servers have gotten worse. With the newest update especially. Lots of people are reporting more server lag every day :(
