Stuttering even tho 500 fps
Hi, my game stutters when i load into a new game, when i pick up boost, demo, flip, score or get to supersonic(speed). it gets better when its the 2nd,3rd time but i can see and feel the stuttering also in the late game.

I usually have 400-500fps while playing and capping the frames doesnt help.
It doesnt matter which settings i play on, the game itself is smooth but with the things i mentioned i get stuttering.

i am running rl on a m2 ssd / 16gb ram / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X / rx 5700xt

Any idea why i get these Frame drops?

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
I realized that the stutters happen no matter the resolution and video settings.
Usually it stuttered when joining a game like in this examples:
https://youtu.be/hRGo04b_HxI
https://youtu.be/GWUZzKPvhtQ

Just now i had the instance where it said "Joining..." when searching for a game but it did not stutter, right after it it went back to searching for a game and the 2nd time when it said joining it started stuttering right when the 3,2,1 "dum dum dum" sound of the joining process started. The same things are when starting the game and when picking up boost etc. Apparently loading these sounds causes the lags.

Could be network. Even if it's not on your end.

If your monitor isn't 500hz you don't need to be running it that high. Capping it might not help with your stuttering issue but you should do it regardless. I get the same thing. I cap it to my monitors max, 165 and its not smooth. I cap it at 144 and it is smooth.

Other then that there's still times where it isn't smooth and i chalk that up to network issues as there's no rhyme or reason behind it.

You could use something like PresentMon and monitor what is going on with the CPU and GPU during gameplay. If PresentMon shows the stutter is on GPU. Then you could try turning on Double buffer or Triple Buffering. This can cause a tiny big of latency, but make the output of the game smoother. *Intel recently released their own version of PresentMon, which I personally like to use. Gamers Nexus's has a YouTube video about it.

Also, avoid using more than one monitor if possible. Any videos or audio players with animations can cause stuttering on other monitors. Especially if you're using a monitor with G-Sync/Free-Sync.

If none of this helps, the last thing I'd try out is ProcessLasso. It can let you permanently adjust how many CPU cores programs use and adjust what their priority is when the CPU is handling tasks. You could do all this through Task Manager as well, but you'd need to change the settings back every time you'd run the game again.

Thanks for the replys. I will try everything and update here.
I got one monitor but it has free sync so I might look into that

Cool then, coz mine randomly stutters 1 out of 20 games and i don't know why either. Hope you find your answer.

i think the game is broken, stutters are very common even tho there seem to be no problem, some times you can even notice total dsync stuff in game which wont be visible even in replays.

Likely to be a vsync issue but idk what setting you would do on amd coz I had a similar issue but enabled vsync in nvcpl and it fixed
