Please don't make us do Swish Goals as a challenge

It's bad enough when a challenge makes you play Hoops, and I think challenges shouldn't ask for something from the Extra list in general, but then you have to do a certain kind of goal, which is quite hard in this mode because the ball cannot decide whether it wants to bounce hard or soft.

Look at it this way:
I don't like Hoops, I don't think it's fun.
The challenge makes me try over and over to achieve a certain kind of goal, making me play badly in general.
That affects the people who actually want to play this mode negatively.
These people don't have fun either.

No one is having fun in Hoops due to this challenge.

This is School of Hard Knocks all over again. For context, this is a WoW PvP-related achievement required for a PvE meta achievement that made players enter several battlegrounds (PvP instances) to do certain tasks which are technically progressing the match - when done at the right time.
Everybody hated that, until it was eventually removed from the meta achievement.

I mainly play hoops mode and I'm having fun, I didn’t even know there was a challenge because once you play for a while that stuff becomes quite meaningless. I think if people want to complete challenges they should expect to have to do things outside of their comfort zone otherwise the challenges wouldn’t be challenging.

I agree. I know challenges are indeed to be challenging. But making specific mode challenges can suck if you hate said mode. Especially hoops as its VERY much a mode for people good at aerials. If your like me, and trash at aerials, the mode is a nightmare. And expecting me to get a Swish goal. I got better changes of finding a diamond on the ground.

Last time there was a Swish challenge it took me about 50 or so games to finally get one out of PURE luck.

It's just how Rocket League calls weekly/season/event quests, don't get hung up on the term. Most are completed automatically during your regular gameplay. Some require playing certain types of modes, or using easily-obtained car parts from the current season. My issue is with requiring a certain type of goal in one particular mode.

Yes we absolutely get hung up on the term. It's called CHALLENGE and not weekly quest for a reason.

You want extra stuff? Then go the extra mile. Not everything in life is handed to you on a silver plate. You want these juicy 20k xp for another Rocket Pass boost that you are never going to equip? Better work for it.

You're upset that the challenge isn't tailored to you. If you don't want to play hoops, then don't play hoops. You don't NEED to do every challenge offered. I'm skipping it for that reason, same with 2v2 challenges.

The only real challenge I have a gripe with is the over 1000 points in a single match. Dropshot and 1v1 is the only real option because someone will either ff before you get it or you'll have a hard time solo-qing without ballchasing.

One person is upset. They decide to make a post telling everyone how upset they are. Other people read this post. They were otherwise not upset, but upon reading of this persons upsetness, have themselves become upset and now must post replies telling everyone how upset they are. Interesting to me how these people probably come away from the conversation feeling like adversaries, when in fact they are the same.
