It's not about hours played really, skill doesn't equal time played. Playing for 3000h won't magically get you higher ranks.
I can attest to this. Hit 3000h on PC and have several hundred on console. Highest was champ 1 in 3's and champ 3 div 4 in rumble.
Plat 3 at 120h is good considering that due to the length of time the games been released, lower ranks have been increasing in skill and are much higher than they used to be. (without forgetting F2P) but everyone is different and I highly doubt most people (including me) will ever get to GC no matter how much they play.
The servers have worked as expected and without any delays, and there were actually mature players who have refused to give up early. They were playing the game, whereas the current playerbase kinda.. You know, throws tantrums like children and expect to get away with it.
From what I have noticed when I was playing Rocket League, my rank has been steadily increased, despite the fact that I haven't improved at all.
It's all caused by the amount of players playing during each Season, so I'd even go ahead and claim that the Gold rank back in the day is equal to the nowadays' Diamond I, maybe even Diamond II, Rising Star from the third Season being equal to Diamond I for sure, but nothing above..
.. And, that the nowadays' Platinum is barely equal to the Gold rank.. It's probably even lower.
I mean, it doesn't so bad to almost get into Diamond after such a short time.. But, you're the one who tells whether you do feel like you belong there, right?
Play some matches, see if you know what're the players doing and whether you can clearly predict their moves, possibly even interrupt them.
If I base it on your playtime alone, I do strongly doubt that you can actually be a match for Diamond players.. But if you have no issues predicting their moves and feel like you can relax while playing matches at that rank, you do clearly belong there and shouldn't have any issues holding yourself there, even if you get on the Xth loss streak in a row.
You can't really link a rank to hours played. It doesn't matter. 1000 hours of just playing matches is nothing compared to 100 hours of solid practice routines.
Overall I would say hitting high plat after 100-150 hours is not too bad.
What I would suggest is to solely focus on your own gameplay, game sense, mechanics and overal knowledge of the game. Don't compare yourself to other players in a sense of hours played vs rank.
Also above everything... Rank doesn't matter. It does not define you. Focus on getting better and your rank will naturally follow.
