I knew this game was pay to win (PROVEN)
Some time back I did a thread asking for some changes in the game because I could hardly hit or get any play going on. They all said that I probably got to play with better players and I accepted that.

But after getting stomped so much I decided to switch car.

And lo and behold, I have got MVP the 3 latest game. And no, it's not just up and down in my skill. I have lost several divisions for a straight month.

The car I changed from was "Breakout" to "Octane". Is there any proof that cars act and handle differently? And I get why this is not stated anywhere - because DLC is there to make people "become better" but they actually just get better cars.

Really mad at hidden play to win features such as speed, handling and strength

CONCLUSION:

There ARE differences.
They DON'T do it publicly known (it should be stated when you choose your car)

From previous patches though;

"1) Power Sliding
2) Hit Box - Ball Hit
3) Hit Box - Kick Off
4) Turning Radius/Speed
5) Hit Box - Dimensions

Results differ greatly between vehicles tested."

The cars have different hitboxes. For example I play poorly on anything thats not Merc since it is most comfortable to my playstyle. Hitboxes are the only difference.

thats why all the professional players still use octane, because the dlc is so amazing.

So a wedge chaped car will hit the ball one way where a flat boxy car will hit it differently if hit in the same spot at the same speed in the same direction.

You honestly think it's only hitbox? Try "Merc" and "Paladin" and tell me that handling, strength, near combat has no difference.

Secondly - you cannot prove or disprove that "strength" (as in power) is improved or not because that cannot be measured. Only seen in the code. Really smart business model with the DLC win.

I think that's why I experience such different playstyle when I went up in divisions - not because of better players - but because different cars with stupid power when they hit the ball.

No on the different handling and speed. Hitboxes yes. but it mostly comes down to preference. I play best with the cars that the games come with. but i have most of the dlcs.

You just need to get better. wich may seem harsh but. as you slowly get better at this game you will know how to hit the ball and when. there is so much more to this game than most people think.

Edit: what are you talking about when you are mentioning strength ? because all cars blow up when hit with super sonic

And of course you guys with DLC will not admit that it's strength, power and speed. It would hurt your ego too much.

I've played with many different cars and the difference between them is barely worth mentioning. Some cars have a slightly tighter turning radius or a bigger/smaller hitbox. But none of them give you any gamebreaking advantage. Just pick a car that you are comfortable with.

To add to that.. I almost always use either Breakout or Octane which both are standard cars.

The devs have explicitly stated that the cars all have the same stats save minor changes in the hitboxes. This insistence seems like nothing more than an attempt to troll and cause dissention.

In my opinion, It might seem a bit different but it's not pay to win. Speed does not change though, that's for sure. The point is that if get used to a specific car you can dominate anyone with any car if you're better than them. No car is better.

The only way a car might be bettter is this: If say you exclusively play octane then one morning you decide to play paladin for a change. Then you realise that you're better with Paladin. That's the case. YOU are better with Paladin. It's the paladin itself that is better...If that makes any sense...

But if someone is better than you he might not ACTUALLY be better than you...he might be able to handle HIS car better than you handle YOUR car. I don't know how else to explain it. Just don't take hit boxes as something minor. It might seem to be a small change but it can make a big defference if you use it correctly and if you find your personal favorite of course.

Your arogance is incredible...Have you concidered giving the game some more time? I don't know how many hours you have in-game but you cleary don't have that much. My sister is currently using my account to play rocket league ( She is better than me :P ) and she almost exclusivly plays with octane and in some cases paladin. I myself play with dominus...That does not make me any better nor does it give me any advantages...Just give it time.

The devs can keep telling that another 1000 times and it still won't be true.

Not speed true, but might be some acceleration differences though or changes with boost.

Your logical fallacies are too many man.
THIS:I'm discussing WHY I AM BETTER with a car or not.
I don't care if I'm better or not with a car - I want ALL cars to behave the same. It has NOTHING to do with me - it's the car that HANDLES differently and THAT'S why I am "better" with it.

And then my brain continues and ask - Hmm, what about DLC cars? Are they even better...?

It's impossible to argue with you guys. You are so biased since you invested so much time and money into thinking you "became better".

I'm just so tired of greedy people and companies, I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable, but truth often does.

I'm on Expert with hundreds of hours played.
It gives you advantage!
