Open the TASystemSettings.ini file with the Editor and use Strg+F (other keyboard layouts need to use Crtl+F) and search for the line called " OneFrameThreadLag". If it is set to OneFrameThreadLag=True, set it to OneFrameThreadLag=false. Setting it to =false can cause your framerate to be less stable, but guarantees a better input accuracy while =true can keep your frames stable while causing stuttering and input delays. Since you have a better graphics card than me, you should be fine setting it to =false.
The game runs on the Unreal Engine so you can apply these settings to any Unreal Engine game you own! Just make a backup of the original file in case something happens.
Many people reported that the latest NVidia driver cause huge fps drops, stuttering and random freezing in many games. If you can, try to install the older driver again that came out before the latest one and see if it improves your perfomance.

Done both, i've also noticed a few issues with textures since last update, like changing world detail from quality to performance doing barely no change and disabling high quality shaders causing the ground blink ( i guess?) , and some of my friends are reporting similar issues, not to mention the ghost ball in free play ...
