Game changes volume
Sometimes when I want to play, game volume is changed *louder or quieter*. How to fix it?

Just been hit by the same bug, was working fine then the next time I played the sound is now really quiet. It is purely Rocket League that is effected, everything else is fine.

Edit: Fixed, for some reason the games volume has randomly changed to a low setting on the windows volume mixer. :S

Probably by an application that has control over the volume, like Skype or something. Either that, or you have Windows set to lower the volume when you are using voice communication.

At a guess it was big picture mode being a tit again causing the audio attenuation of mumble to stick, although it was at a level lower than what it normally lowers to. It dawned on me a minute after posting but rather than delete the post I thought I'd mention how I fixed it was a few of these threads have popped up with no solution.

*Audio in this video is much quieter than in my headphones* So - sometimes when i open rocket league its louder/quieter/normal. Now it's louder :c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHusBWvqUZU&feature=youtu.be *yup, its 100% pro*. I have Bitdefender, Steam, Nvidia GeForce Experience, Realtek manager and Razer synapse *updated* running. When it's louder it ♥♥♥♥♥ my ears ;_;

Sounds like you have a mic connected and windows is adjusting your volume so the game audio doesn't interfere with communications. Right click the speaker icon in your Windows notification area, select 'Recording devices', go to the 'Communications' tab and set communications activity to 'Do nothing' and see if that helps.

THANK YOU! I think this is exactly what I have been looking for!!!! :)

Yo, been having this same issue of the audio from Rocket League stuttering, becoming louder and quieter randomly, etc. Been researching solutions, and nothing has worked; fortunately, I found one myself that seemed to do the trick:
(Windows)
Settings -> System -> Sound -> All sound devices -> (Choose your headphones, in my case it was ‘Razer USB Sound Card’) -> Audio enhancements OFF
It seems like the audio was being affected by this setting, and turning it off makes it sound normal. Hope this helped :)

Locking this as a necro-post. Feel free to create a new one.
