GG has been around for many gamers for a very long time now.

Win or lose it's generally said out of respect for the other team.

If you're getting salty over someone saying GG then you need to reevaluate.

Salt aside:
-IRL usually is used as "In real life" so that's the expect meaning.
-Most users are males, then I tend to assume everyone is, until told otherwise.

Regardless if you win or lose saying Good Game (GG) is apriopriate thing to say.


I say GG even if I LOSE 6 to 0 or more. Its states that the other team did a good job and you respect that.

*Note I notice you are from Germany, or so your profile says. Saying GG is a Wester and Eastern mentality that is in effect to save face.

I never knew "gg" was supposed to make anyone salty before coming to these discussion boards. I thought it just meant "that was a nice game we just had".
