PS4 Controller with XBOX Buttons

How come I have a PS4 Controller, but instead of having ps4 controls on my screen, it is xbox. Also, how do I turn off vibration?

Are you using a 3rd party program like DS4 Windows, etc? Those emulate the PS4 controller as a Xbox controller. Which explains the Xbox inputs.. also vibration can be disabled in the Misc options.

By uninstalling DS4 Windows.

Rocket League supports DS4 without 3rd party drivers/software.

you dont have to uninstall ds4 just make sure ds4 isnt running.

But, Im on a mac, can you help me? I haven't installed any software to use my PS4 controller. I just connect it with BlueTooth

Same it shows Xbox buttons for me to, I'm on Mac AND the vibration doesn't work...

I made this and it worked:
Uninstall any 3rd party software
Go to steam big picture mode
go to library
go to the game u having problems with
go to manage game
go to controller options (2nd controller button)
uncheck (use steam configuration support for non-steam controllers)
and You Are Ready To Go!
Worked for me!

So I know this thread was published about a year ago but what Joy Spy is telling me to do turns off all custom config I have for this controller. I NEED custom config for this controller. Is there anyway to keep your custom config but have Rocket League show PS4 buttons?

what is the controller type you have? I mean ps4,ps3 or someother one? If it wants like 3rd party software I think it will be fine just uncheck that one (use steam configuration support for non-steam controllers) because steam controller has xbox buttons.... And thats what makes xbox buttons showing up

I'm using a PS4 controller. It doesn't need third party software, it works perfectly fine with RL it just doesn't show PS4 buttons even though RL has PS4 compatibility. Again what you said to do worked but it disables the custom config in steam and I need that. Is there any other way?

Right now there is no way to enable the custom config in steam...... Hopefully they will fix it in the future.....

Let Windows reinstall the drivers for your DS4. If it isn't doing it automatically then you will have to download them from the interwebs. If the drivers are installed try using a different type of controller and see if RL recognizes it.

If you are trying to do it "wirelessly" it didn't work for me for some reason... but try it with a usb cable and it should work... Psyonix SHOULD really fix this bug cuz its really making people upset ! *note : if you want to play "wirelessly" you should check the "use steam configrations for non-steam controllers" or try what LudiChris said...
