Ghost hitting / Cars going through the ball
Does anyone know if the devs are aware of all the ghost hitting and cars travelling through the ball? Or if there is a fix in the works. I have been compiling replays of my car going through the ball where it should register as a hit and it does not. As well as replays where someone hits the ball, the ball begins to do one thing, teleports back and does something completely different. It is making this border line unplayable for me and I've dumped a ton of time in to this game...

You are suffering from high ping or packet loss.
Filter to closer regions or troubleshoot your connection.

Noooooo my ping is usually around 40. My upload is 40mbps and my download is 160mpbs. lol. My internet is fine. I was playing with my buddy, and both of us had to watch the replay of the game, and confirmed, that my car went straight through the middle of the ball lol.

I have not experienced any of this at all. I do think it may be you mis-interpreting it, or just salty about missing a shot. Either way, this isnt an existing bug. Also, The balls hit box is fairly simple, making it easy to hit, i dont see why you would go through it. I know this bug is not existing and has never been complained about in the past.

Again. Not Salty. I love this game. I don't get mad when I miss the ball lol. I will have to post the video somewhere to show people. The replay shows my car going through the ball. It lost me and my partner the game. I don't post things very often, but I see people complain about it all the time.

Packet loss.
Not ping.
You are dropping packets and when you synch the ball moves to where the server sees it.

You are not crazy ants I have the same problem and my friend too when we are playing and we are in the good region and we have a ping of 40

I think it's the server's fault sometimes. If more than one player sees it at the same incident, surely it's the server.

weird...this would explain why sometimes i could swear i hit the ball but turns out i didn't even faze it

Have had this happen multiple times over the last weeks. Unfortunately replays don't record this as they show different positions to video of in-game play. There is no desync or packet loss recorded so my only guess is that there is something happening on the server end causing this. Maybe due to another players' desync or packet loss and the server updating prediction vs what is displayed locally?

I've seen it before in replays when someone else jumps up and barely hits the ball and the ball travels up for for a very short distance as if they hit it, then it teleports back down to its original trajectory. Other people in the game reported seeing the same thing in the instant replay at the same time. I have no idea what the cause it.

Nah, there's another reason for that.

Yes, I know what packet loss is. But if it was packet loss it would do it with everything else. Not just the ball. The clocks would be messed up, the cars would be messed up.

You know what packet loss is, but are going to assume it's not that without testing it.

Okay.
If it was the games fault wouldn't everyone else have the same issue you have?
