A low vehicle will send the ball high up the sky whenever I hit it on the ground, while a high one with send it more straight in line. (you can try this in free practice, just hit the ball at full speed after the 3-2-1.. Go, and see how high it goes, with a breakout you can't score a goal because it goes too high, but with an octane you can)
About the length, I feel like it helps for flips, with a dominus GT I can hit more balls (and thus have more effective counters when going front with someone) than with a smaller one. It also helps me on the aerials (longer nose :D)
About the "wide/narrow", didn't feel it so much yet.
(PS : I'm not a pro player, probably below average, but that's my current thought on that matter)
50/50's?
50/50's are essentially those kick-offs when two opposing players (or more sometimes) smash into the ball at the same time and hope it doesn't go into their goal
