Car moving extremely slow unless I boost, what the heck?
Anybody experienced this..

Just upgraded to Windows 10... but not affecting any other games.

I use an xbox one controller.. I have two, both are acting the same way.

I move at a snails pace (slower than just driving without boost) UNTIL either I A) Boost or B) Flip.

EDIT: Just lost a placement match due to this crap

Perhaps your keyboard is interferring with your controller?

Try clearing and reassigning the keybinds for brake and powerslide, including the alternate keybinds.

Try a different USB port as well. (Assuming your two controllers aren't in simultaneously, of course. If they are, try one at a time.)

I'd start buy uninstalling then reinstalling the driver. Then do the xbox calibration. I'm curious if you remapped forward to left trigger if the problem would still be there. Anywho did you jump from win 7 to win 10? I know there were driver issues for the xbox controller with that jump. Not sure about from 8 to 10.

They are wireless controllers-- set controller settings to default and other things.. no luck still. Bummer, gotta be Win 10.. another reason to hate this pos os

Nope but will do = )

Okay.. couldn't update drivers, because I'm running Windows 10 (unfortunately.. LOL).

However, I did uninstall what drivers I had before, and then reconnected my xbox one controller.

It is a wireless controller. It is working perfectly fine with every other game I have.

I set the defaults for controls and sensitivities, and no luck with that either.

Before blaming the OS, keep in mind that the Xbox One controllers have received updates and enhancements to be more compatible with Windows 10 — not the other way around.

Follow the instructions here to update your controller for Windows 10.[support.xbox.com]

Note the fact that this must be done via USB.

After completing this step and confirming the issue persists, try as I suggested previously and make sure there are no conflicting peripherals. Unbind both the brake and powerslide to temporarily ensure nothing is prohibiting your movement.

Additionally, just because the controller works in other games, doesn't mean it works to the fullest extent. Perhaps other games aren't factoring in the analog portion of the trigger and simply treat them as digital (on or off) inputs.

Scaling down the deadzone for the triggers might help if they're faulty. To do this, navigate to "Documents\My Games\Rocket League\TAGame\Config" and open TAInput.ini

Locate the following entries:

GamepadDeadzones=( Type=IPT_XBOX_ONE, Key=XboxTypeS_RightTriggerAxis, DeadZone=0.1 ) GamepadDeadzones=( Type=IPT_XBOX_ONE, Key=XboxTypeS_LeftTriggerAxis, DeadZone=0.1 )

and change them to the following:

GamepadDeadzones=( Type=IPT_XBOX_ONE, Key=XboxTypeS_RightTriggerAxis, DeadZone=0.01 ) GamepadDeadzones=( Type=IPT_XBOX_ONE, Key=XboxTypeS_LeftTriggerAxis, DeadZone=0.01 )

Thank you! I will check tomorrow and post back results. Appreciate the help regardless!!

Windows 10 Anniversary Update actually broke xbox one gamepad on many games. A fix was pushed at the end of August for Preview Users and the rest of us got the update this week.

Which is odd because there are some with zero issues with the Anniversary update. (Myself included) I wonder if it only affected certain USB chipsets or something.

Did you ever solve? I'm having the same problem =/ Reinstalling did nothing.
Fenix Jan 7, 2017 @ 2:48pm
Yeah I did! I used revo uninstaller and uninstalled all microsoft controller drivers IIRC. Also it was after the update, so I had to install the xbox one controller drivers through the MS Store. They have an "app" ... =(

Check out their official controller support page and it should have instructions, it worked for me. Let me know!

Using the wireless adaptor, I dont see anything listed in Revo. Which controller page?
