Negative MMR all at once.
So I'm not good at RL or anything so it's not like I have much to complain about. I'll never be above Challenger so it probably doesn't concern anyone in the long run, but I was curious about something that's happened to my rank in the past few weeks.

I'm currently a Prospect 2~3 in singles, a Challenger 1 in standard, and I was a Prospect Elite in doubles (and rising) up until a week or two ago. All of the sudden, seemingly right as I crossed over the Prospect Elite threshold, I began a very rapid decent. I didn't win or lose any games more or less than before, my playstyle didn't change, nothing. Yet I only ever lost rank. Down, down, down. I could be paired up against Challengers and win with MVP... still down.

At this point I'm at rock bottom... or so I thought. Sitting at Prospect 1 for over a week and listening to all of my friends' confusion, one of them went to some site that apparently keeps track of MMRs for Rocket League and looked me up. According to him, quite anomalously, my MMR is negative.

I'm not sure what's going on, but I was told I needed to mention it to the powers that be to see what's up. Since I sincerely doubt that Psyonix actually cares, I thought I'd post here and see if this has happened to anyone else. Have you guys ever even heard of this?

Simular experience here. Either they changed things secretly or they apply more penalties players once they reach a particular tier.

You actually do have a negative mmr... I don't think that should be possible but there it is. This is probably worth going on the official forums and reporting: http://psyonix.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=32

Edit: Beat me to the stat lookup. :P

I looked at your full chart ( https://rocketleague.tracker.network/profile/steam/nekoyoubi ) and it is pretty wierd. I had about the same thing but smaller. How did I get "better". I didn't play Rocket League for about a week and I felt better.

If you play with a good friend with about the same lvl and train with him/her you can get a lot better. (I and my friend know when not and when to go etc from each other (still, we aren't "good")) We train about every day about a hour or 2.

Thanks for the responses, guys. At least I wasn't just me with "git gud." I will look into posting that to the official forums. Yeah, the chart basically shows me frozen for about a week and then it's like someone inverted my MMR entirely; just swapped it negative. I've been working my way back up, but this is really strange.

That's weird man. You have over 500 hours. Did you not win a game for 20 matches? You can't be that bad with that much time in. You are climbing now though. Maybe there was a problem but it's been fixed now? Were you DCing or rage quiting?

I've never forfeit a match, I don't rage, and I wasn't even losing more than normal in that time. It appears (on the chart) as though my MMR literally sat exactly the same for about a week and then got flipped inverse. ;(

I didnt know this secret mmr thingy. Checked season 3 and it says 323 rating. It was a nightmare matchmaking for me last 2-3 months. And i have no idea how to report this to developers now if it's bugged. Thanks.
