Why is everyone throwing and no consecuences?

Why does reporting for throwing-idling doesn't do anything?

As of the last month or 2 its been impossible to rank up due to the high number of players throwing games, from the start to play with the opposite team.

It seems this is giving players a sense of fake-accomplishment that is better than what they can possibly achieve in their entire lives, but no one in PSYONIX is putting count-measures against throwing or idling.

Too many variables and people already don't like the harsh restrictions against leaving a match in both casual and comp. Never know if someone legit has an emergency IRL and has to get up. You can try to FF but chances are you'll be stuck at at 2/3 votes because of the "if you had something to do irl why queue?" mentality. Instead of asking why, instead, offer suggestions in how they can fix it. Not that they'd listen to feedback here since they pulled the game from Steam, but it'd at least entertain us.

I almost never have a thrower/afk in my team. Even had a couple of games where we were behind 0-5 with 1 minute left and my teammate still tried his best.

Best strategy to having normal teammates is not to be toxic. If you are toxic, your teammates will be aswell.

ranked is dead in games unless its in the first week of game release tbh. i gave up on this game a while ago cause of the mm.


like it shocks me how people can actually be so dumb/bad. aka farming boosts but not using them etc.



ranked is weird i prob am gold plat elo at least since aerial stuff is hard to do on pc and it takes so much practice to pull it off.

Well then it's not "impossible to rank up". You can easily win the games where the opponent team has trolls which should equal out with the unwinnable games because of trolls in your team and the legit games are yours to win.

Here is why you actually can't rank up: You are exactly at the Elo that you belong to.

Except you'd have to be experiencing it from the other side MORE than you do yourself. Thats besides dealing with boosted players or playing against smurfs, which is extremely common now...

This game just lacks punishment system entirely. People are free to leave and troll and all they get is 5min timeout. They can keep doing this days, weeks, months, years.

In order to fix this, Psyonix should introduce week/month bans. But then they would lose a huge portion of the player pool, thus money.

No punishment system=more players=more income=♥♥♥♥♥♥ experience for the rest of the playerbase

A dunce hat topper should be permanently equipped to the player that constantly leaves their matches for 24 hours. The only thing is, It's over sized like the April fools toppers.

The problem is: People don't play this game to have fun, they play to boost their egos. Unless we all learn one of the teams HAVE to lose, nothing will improve. It's all about education and expectation management.

i had two games in a row on dropshot US west where someone left and it was 2 on 3 on my team, both L's, so in the 3rd game when my team mates were doing nothing again ( me 240 points them 12 points combined ) i just rage quit and left LOL....the increase in AFK/idle players is at least 50% higher then it was 4 years ago and thats a fact, there is zero point of me taking a game serious in the ' competitive ' category with all the variables of servers, matchmaking, and team mates... i may as well goof off now too lol

also to the guy above talking about the ' ego ' thing - 100% right, yesterday in a period of like 3 games out of 6 the opponents who were winning felt the need to rub it in- im guessing these are children cause i hope these are not grown 30 year old men....LoL, school is back where i live in my time zone so i guess these kids will now game all night and sleep all day in school

this issue gets worse once you get to gc because you mostly play with the same people and boy are people in this game fragile snowflakes:
- they whiff and you take your time to take a sip from your water bottle? too bad he trolls
- you say nothing and enemy team make fun of him? too bad he trolls
- you ask politely to forfeit and move on? too bad now he intentionally keeps everyone hostage

honestly ♥♥♥♥ this game and the braindead white knights defending it. most of them sit in lower ranks and never had to bother with this issue while we get to suffer every other match.

add to that f2p and how easy it is to lvl up to 10 and wreak havoc across all playlists and this game is asking for it's own demise
