Only one bothered by the mediocre Ball physics?

It feels like Im the only one bothered by the ball physics in this game. The ball always deflects under the same angle it hit a surface, even if it doesnt make sense. e.g. particularly in the round corners of the maps it just behaves very unrealistically when it travels at high speeds. Like the forward motion just stops completely and all energy is carried over in the deflection. Perhaps in theory, exit angle should be similar to entry angle, but in practice this shouldnt be the case with the ball.

It's hard to explain really, anyone who has played a ball sports in real life would however agree with me that the ball physics in Rocket League are not quite right.

Just learn the ball has effect man.. like in tennis... just watch how it turn in the airs.. just practice more...

Also it bounce stronger in corners because... yeah a corner is more solid and consistant than grass...

Its not that I cannot deal with it. Its just that im bothered that it behaves so unrealistically. I know a wall offers more resistance than a grass surface, but even then the physics are all wrong

Playing football with rc cars anyway.. :/ this maybe yhe problem you encounter.. nothing realistic in this game.

They are not meant to be realistic to begin with so try again...

It's a game with RC cars. It doesn't need realistic ball physics. If that's what you're looking for, go kick a soccer ball.

The ball physics are "fake" because realistic ones were too unpredictable.

The ball has contradictory physics...
It will swerve on long shots
But it's so heavy it will tip a car that weighs > 1 ton when on the Rumble spikes

I don't know how much playing time you have in this game, but most of the time it's 80% of luck. If they tried to make it harder and more realistic they'd lose lots of players.

I'm sorry but as someone who takes his rocket league a bit too serious........that video offends me like no other. You may as well have shown me a video of a man disrespecting my mother. Would hurt just as equally. :(
