Alright so i did try it now anyways i can say now that VSync did nothing in that case (yes i clicked apply X3) and i tried to get the temperature but well... the software ofc freezes as well since my whole pc is just crashing at that point and i used Nvidia Inspector for it but while i was able to play (less than 5 minutes) it was between 55 and 65 Celsius.
That only happens with the RL?
Turn all configs to minimal, try re-install, upgrade windows (or downgrade)
Update drivers, turn off anti-viruses or scan your pc (totally)
Corrupted system files are possible (although maybe not very likely), updating/reinstalling drivers and running sfc -checknow should help in that case.
I usually use Open Hardware Monitor[openhardwaremonitor.org] in such cases. You can enable logging by ticking the "Log Sensors" option and it will create a csv file in the directory it is run from.
When opening the log with OpenOffice you will have to select comma as seperator, opening it with Excel will most likely be similar.
Alternatively MSI Afterburner can also display temperatures and other data as live overlay while playing.
Games don't damage hardware, overheating over long time is a more likely cause of any damages.
Don't change clocks when you have no idea what you are doing, it can result in damaged hardware!
I thought the same before i actually found posts about it

CPU was hitting 100% while loading but quite frankly this is normal for this old cpu and it never caused any problems but what worries me most is as soon as that problem happens i saw that the graphics card went crazy it went up and down rapidly from 100% to 0% back to 100% in a matter of seconds repeatedly. But before it happened it was at 30-40% all the time and once it happened instantly jumped to 100%. So it surely is something with the GPU i assume and this time when i tried skyrim it actually completely crashed the graphics card and i couldn't get any image on my monitors until i restarted. But considering the threads above that i posted i can't say rocket league isn't fault at all because people have had that problem just because of rocket league and the same thing happened for me everything was fine then one day i play rocket league just fine and then boom it crashes my pc and now everything else doesn't work anymore like something here is really fishy. :/ i don't have money to afford another graphics card i'm lost here :( browsing and watching videos still works at least and brawlhalla also works i'll test a few more games and see what happens.
Sorry, but replacing your GPU seems to be the only way to fix your issues.
Correlation does not imply causation! These posts prove nothing, as none of them even remotely proves damage through software. You will find a myriad of posts claiming that *insert game or software name* damaged hardware, but that doesn't mean that what they claim is correct.
Normal software doesn't damage hardware, there's a massive difference between games damaging hardware and hardware being damaged while playing a game.
As an example: There are confirmed reports of PS4s being damaged after running RL. The cause was horrible optimization which caused the consoles to run at 100% load, even at the main menu, which caused overheating issues. This is still a classic thermal issue (longterm overheating / improper cooling) and not the software destroying hardware.
