Is saying "What a save!" toxic?

im playing 1v1 and a player misses a save and i say "What a save!" and then he continues to flame me of how toxic i am and that i'm destroying this community.
Do you thing saying "What a save!" is toxic?

You may have no bad intention, and thats all cool you know. Im the first one who likes little trolls there and there. But you know, it is a 'competitive' game. And, in ranked specificly, even if someone is performing bad, it is in my mind that he is trying as good as he can. Even a soft troll is not welcome in that case.

I can't be responsible over what people get offended.
People will get offended by anything that they think should offend them.
I do see some non-toxic people. When i say "What a save!" they actually say "Thanks!" or "Close one!" and not call me a dumb fq or a toxic ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is destryoing the community.
