Is saying "What a save!" toxic?

im playing 1v1 and a player misses a save and i say "What a save!" and then he continues to flame me of how toxic i am and that i'm destroying this community.
Do you thing saying "What a save!" is toxic?

It's rude. Whether they missed it by a fraction or completely fluffed it.
So yeah, in modern parlance "toxic" is probably accurate.

When you start it, because you have the urge to mock him for not saving the ball, then you are the toxic one. You start it and you get what you deserve. Don't be an as-sh-ole.

I feel like you're being intentionally obtuse here. The "What a save" quickchat is there for non-sarcastic reactions to an actual save made by a teammate. I personally don't care, but if you're using it for any other purpose, you're being a ♥♥♥♥, fact.

How is saying "What a save!" makes me an ashl in any way? Even psyonix doesnt think its toxic as i cant get banned from saying it, but when the opponent starts flaming me for it he will get banned. So who is in the wrong here? Me the one who haves a laugh from you missing or you the one who flames me back and just keeps insulting and in the risk of actualy getting banned by psyonix.
Really people get offended/triggered/tilted by almost anything you say in RL, but when i miss a save and the opponent says "What a save!" i just say "Thanks!, Calculated"
But you see what you wanna see, i see it as a funny moment while others see it as an oportunity to be toxic

Same as someone going for an empty goal and somehow doesn't score - you might put "Nice shot!" and everyone will know you're trying to mock at someone's mistake.

Some might say it's part of the game ( but only those who clearly have a twisted vision about what healthy competition is ). Mocking own opponents ( or own teammates ) is always toxic. No matter if you write something on a chat by your own fingers or used quick-chat to do it for you.

And if you try to play a jerk but can't handle a truth about being a jerk. Maybe you doesn't feel comfortable with it and there's still hope for you (:

I would really like to see where it says that this was the intended use.

I believe you need two factors to understand the intensions behind those quick-chats:
1) Understand english words
2) Have a common sense

What you're talking about ( but clearly don't understand how to put it in words ) is that you use "What a save" in sarcastic way and see no harm in using it that way because in your opinion it's funny.

Because I can't believe anyone is that dumb to actually assume that "What a save!" was made to mock people and it was designed that way from the very beginning - I refuse to believe someone is that dumb and please don't even try to convince me.

If it were a team only thing wouldn't it be team only?
People saying that this is toxic in any way need to grow up and not be so sensitive

You are toxic by essence. There is no comparison to do.
Its only the reflect of your own regrets and envy in life. Why someone would flame otherwise ? Only sad and angry people are toxic.
