Casual MMR

Is it me or casual mmr has been rebalanced? I'm a fresh platinum since the beginning of the season, yet I get matched mostly with diamonds, champions, and GCs (and not only season 3). How can I even train my bronze buddy in that condition..? I used to play casual to try new things without pressure or to let a bad day pass, but right now, it seems like I'm better to play ranked for this, since it's less of an outmatch. Anybody has had a similar experience for the past weeks or so?

Casual has always had loose matchmaking. You’re not making it any easier mixing Plat with Bronze.

I get this in ranked and casual, except, they are my rank, but are WAY better than my rank, the other times that i lose to an unfair situation its cause its with a grouped team that are a Diamond or a Platinum and a Silver or Bronze or something.

So, i respect you for training your bronze friend in casual and not ranked, where you will be facing players alot worse than you and making unfair for them.

Anything over 650 is going to be mostly diamonds and champs with some higher plats sprinkled in. Your unranked MMR is north of 870. You will be bumping into a lot of GC's there. I'd play some 1's to get your rank where it should be. Your buddies MMR was probably so low you faced a lot of easier opponents over the past week and went on a winning spree and got some big MMR points.

This is exactly my point, I feel like it has become even louser. Even in gold, the lowest rank I would see would be around Silver 1-2 and the highest around Platinum 1-2. Now I play with season 2 GCs that have double my play time. I've been playing really bad for the past week and then -this-[imgur.com] happens...


Has anyone had a similar sudden change in his casual MMR? I just want to know if it comes from a Psyonix rebalance or if it's just an odd ''bug''. I am FAR AWAY from a top 1% player

Maybe youa re right cuzz things do feal a little easier in casual.

I replied without seeing your comment, great idea, didn't think about that! Time to get destroyed and cry for a couple of hours
