Also - If someone is playing in Fullscreen, tabbing out will cause their ping to turn red/orange. This will also happen if someone uses a program to lower a games FPS when it's not in the foreground.
You're fantasizing if you think the majority of players DDos. if anything it's still the minority. If you chock your bad games to "lag hacks" you have alot to learn.
RL servers are relatively garbage, that being said, if you're getting huge lagspikes you need to check with your ISP. As well as check local ping, packet loss, latency, and overall general function of your hardware. I've played this game for 3 years and have averaged 50-100ping over my playtime server dependent. If i had lag spikes, 99% of the time it was on my end, not some mystical DDosser that people think is common, which its not.
