You are too much of a fan for this game to have an open mind and see the dark side of it.
Some people just don't want to see through. Too afraid of questions then. I'm sorry man.
If things were so blatantly rigged, everyone would be talking about it, and when things actually did change, people did talk about it. Even casual players can tell when something happens that doesn't make real sense, it's physics after all. You just have to play for a bit to understand how it works. So that argument is invalid.
Everyone gets bad loosing streaks when they approach the next rank, this has always been a thing since the beginning, this has nothing to do with Epic. It's a combination of the pressure of wanting the next rank and not being good enough for it, yes it can be because of bad teammates too but in the case of 1s, you're probably just not good enough, you end up being tilted and even though at that point you should just stop playing for the time, you continue to play and loose.
You seem to believe that Psyonix can tell where everyone's skill cap is and prevents you from reaching it so you don't stop playing? If you think that's possible then please enlighten us lol because it's not. You act like everyone is stuck at a rank right before the new rank and are constantly going back and forth between win and loss steaks, obviously that's not how it works, people rank up and down over and over till they have improved enough to stay in the new rank consistently and then repeat the process, maybe you should elaborate on what you mean because the claim that they are preventing you from ranking up is just false, that's just people not being good enough but thinking that they deserve to rank up lol.
The final point that makes this post either a troll or the absurd ramblings of someone who can't come to terms with how bad they are is about how "streamers don't have these problems" you're kidding right? How would you like to explain this? You think that Psyonix actively monitors all RL streams and makes it so there's no rigging happening? You can't be serious.
You see alot of people complaining about X reason for why they lost on here, this is obviously one of them but I enjoyed it the most. For kids, it's a fun conspiracy but too many flaws to be believable by most.
You are an hardcore player, your point of view is from someone who plays it everyday and has been doing that for 6 years. You are speaking as a super minor % of player, because you perfectly know that most player base is stuck in gold.
This is a game where if you stop playing for a week, you're gone. You just can't keep up diamond or higher muscle memory if you dont play everyday.
Do you really think this is fun for a videogame, or more like a forced addiction?
You cant tell me about people go up and down until they improved, because again here, you are speaking of a extremely minor player base.
I'm speaking for the majority of people, and I tell you, they can not realize how the game is rigged because they dont play it enough.
On the other hand, someone who plays it too much gets an addiction to it, so first of all comes the psycological thing that the player needs to defend and takes the parts of the game no matter what's happening because he's now become a fan.
Also, if you play it too much and really want to improve, you do improve and therefore you do not see the rigged factors we're talking about.
About streamers it could be simple. Once psyonix selects officials or " over xxx subscribers" streamers, they could simply exclude their accounts from the algorythm process. They immunize them, basic programming stuff I guess.
To conclude, you seem to see as normal that the last match before entering the new rank is incredibly harder than the last one.
Then why once you reach the next rank, the game suddenly feels a LOT easier compared to the last match in the previous rank? How can you justify the fact that in every rank, there are players who are actually worth at LEAST 1 rank above, and others 1 rank below? If IMPROVING was really the only way to climb up, how in the world do you justify very bad players, even trash players, appearing in champ and grand champ?
your words " Even casual players can tell when something happens that doesn't make real sense, it's physics after all. You just have to play for a bit to understand how it works. So that argument is invalid. "
It looks like your argument is invalid here. Re - read... casual player... play for a bit.
A casual player first of all doesnt know how the physics perfectly works in the game.
A casual player doesn't realize if a 50-50 ball bounce at high speed goes where it shouldnt, because it's a matter of few degrees. A slo mo replay is needed.
Players below diamond dont do this. Even if they smell something is bad in a particular situation, it will just end with the match, and surely they won't write anything about it.
They can think it's just bad luck. They will not realize that something doesn't make sense.
I think you're putting too much trust into something that doesn't really respects you.
