best change in a long time. before casual was unplayable
Yeah welcome to the new tryhard casual mode wehre you can vote to concede and will be banned with up to 2 hour bans for exiting a casual game ...
And no its not only a 5 minute ban - it moves up to 2 hours very fast and will go down only over a rather long period of time.
But i guess that is also the reason why we dont see the player count anymore. I guess many other people just stopped playing aswell - because this isnt casual anymore and its not fun at all. Its now just a mode for players that are too afraid of playing ranked because they care more about ranks than having fun in a casual game ...
what real life sport do you play where you always run away during a match because you are frustrated? you would not be welcome back anywhere. so aply a bit of your irl curtesy into your online world and everything will be fine
You do realize that with the cooldown you can move up to 2 hours pretty easily over a longer period of time?
By the way - what real life sport is only virtual and puts random people in a team for a 3 minute game?
I play short games like this because i can play and quit them at any moment - when i do sports in real life its obviously planned ahead with specific people for a specific ammount of time - thats something completely different.
I mostly quit when i have something else to do, when the game is lost (>= 4 goals difference) with uneven teams or for example if i have laggs etc. - and yes i think its legit to leave a game in casual if the teams are so uneven that the game will probably end with 0:10.
I wont even respond to the rest of your posting - this is called casual and not tryhard mode for a reason. I use the casual mode to hop in and out whenever i have some spare time to play not actually focusing on the game while listening to music. I play it pretty much like i used to play games like the old counterstrike (never cared about competitive modes).
Yeah and your comment now gives you a moral highground ...
If you want to play with rules and bans without quitting - why dont you just play ranked mode and let casuals play casual mode?
It really seems to me that this is not about casual players but about people afraid to even play ranked for whatever reason and about people so concerend with their MMR that they want to play casual like a ranked mode ...
I used to hate the new system/ idea of bringing bans for leaving "casual" game mode. I mean it's named "casual" for a reason. So recently I found something and realised the new system can cause more harm than good if approached from another perspective.
You can actually abuse the new system to annoy your teammate if he is being an a$$. Just throw the game hard and when he asks to forfeit or concede, ask him to leave on his own. He either have to suffer you for the rest of the match or have to quit the match resulting in a ban. Either way you are wasting his time while having fun at doing that.
I mean there is nothing at stake here. Not even your rank.
I know it's a toxic behaviour. But with a system like this in place, I dont think there is any other way to deal with toxic players, than abusing the system itself. I don't think even the reports are doing any good.
Don't we all prefer to be the "victor" than being the "victim" ?
Probably the smartest answer of this thread !
+1
I agree. Quoted that comment, replying with a "+1". Only to get it removed and issued with a "spam warning" from forum moderator. lol
