Why are they not tradable? i was scammed a few months ago before Epic took over, and i got some valuable items are they untradable forever? or is there any way to reverse that?

As people have pointed out, it's down to a few things:
  1. It sounds like you're confusing "scamming" and "phishing"; both are very easily avoidable (in almost all instances) by following the plethora of safety and security guidelines you can find everywhere, including Rocket League Support and Steam.
  2. Since you, technically, agreed to "giving your items away", Support is restoring them solely out of good will, therefore duplicating them. This isn't legitimate, per se, so leaving them tradable would negatively impact the in-game economy.
  3. Lastly, as has been said, there is no telling which side is being truthful, considering it's the Internet. If you are, be glad you got them back.
  4. This cannot and won't be reversed.

U should be happy u got them back since u did lose most likely either by trying to do something that is against tos or simply did something stupid.

They are untradeable simply so that they don't have to do same operation in few months if you get scammed again.

Point taken, but people do learn and they do be more aware of scams, my question was just if it was possible to get them back to tradable, but guess not.

Yea definately learn and most people will be much more careful, but there is also unfortunately big part of people who simply doesn't learn and i have seen in here people who complain about getting scammed multiple times.

It of course feels kinda bad that they are untradeable, but since they wouldn't have to give u anything it is
a pretty good trade off.

Just start trading again with those golden lanterns and u are back on the same amount of wealth that u got scammed in no time.

As most idiots get scammed, probably clicked on a shady link after being told he won free items. Works every time

You have been given the benefit of the doubt that you have been scammed and not trying to pull a fast one to duplicate your items, as a result you have had said scammed items returned to your inventory and as you are not capable of making sensible decisions on keeping your account/items secure or trading with competence then psyonix are looking after your interests by making sure you never loose those particular items again. Pretty sure you only get this benefit of doubt granted once so try and take better care.

why do u not have 2FA on? The whole reason of 2FA is to basically set up a "pin" to access your acount tradables. Shame on you honestly 500% your fault

simple: just dont login to steam using a 3rd party website

if RL wanted to fix this scam problem they could take a lesson out of runescape
just make a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pin of your choice whenever you try to trade like a bank pin it really isnt that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard

but at the end of the day it comes down to you and how informed you are about scams and how they are executed. Sadly, you don't get educated on it until it happens to you or a friend.

That and also keeping the keeping the market. If they return tradeable items back, everytime someone gets scammed there will be more number of items in market. Also people wouldnt even care if they get scammed since psyonix will return tradeable items back.
