Epic games and steam account connection

I started rocket league on steam, and when it was connected with epic I just had it make an auto generated epic account, but now that it requires 2FA to trade, I can't access this epic account because it doesn't have a username and password that I'm aware of. How can I access this account that was generated for my steam account?

same problem , i wanted to trade earlier but since my "in game generated" epic game account dosent exist , there is no way for me to do any 2FA autentification on there website ?
plus i dont really understand why steam users should be go through the epic 2FA to trade , since the credits to get the items were from the steam wallet ?

You have to access this page: https://epicgames.com/
Click on the login option and login with steam.. Then you have to put your steam email and password and it will pop up a notification that asks you which email and password you want to use to your epic games account.

Epic is the owner of the game and everything that's inside it, all your items are also theirs, you just pay for access not for ownership.

ok but,

i have a similar problem, with the added aggravation of:

"Your epic account is all ready bound to a steam account"

i cannot put my proper steam and epic account together ever????

they share an Email.........

why is this even an issue?
